We have just returned from an 11 night break at Mango Bay.
Our room (310) was very comfortable, with a giant bed and everything that one would expect in a good hotel (iron, board, kettle, coffee/tea making facilities, pleasant toiletries, effective aircon, etc).
We booked Mango Bay Hotel as a package through BA holidays. We were there to celebrate both our 30th wedding anniversary and my 50th Birthday which had been earlier in the year. What can I say, we adored this hotel. We were returning guests as...More

You can borrow snorkel equipment and life jackets from the sports centre and around 10am each day boat tours come into the bay to swim with the turtles. You can swim out from the hotel beach easily (I'm not a strong swimmer and I did it) and join them. They feed the turtles and it is such an amazing experience. You don't even have to snorkel. They are on the top of the water with you and they are huge!! It's such an incredible experience! Make sure you go out when the first boat arrives as that's when they are the most hungry and you see more.
There are also fish on the reefs by the hotel. You can snorkel out to them easily too.
We went out on the free glass bottom boat from the hotel but it was very disappointing. We saw hardly any fish. We didn't do the catamaran tour as it is long and we get seasick, but if you're good on the water for a long period we were told it was great (take protection from the sun). Really no need to do it to see the turtles though. They are right there on your doorstep! Have fun!!
