We called in for a quick beer and left three hours later after having a great hamburger and chips, and a few beers. No phones allowed in the pub only allowed to talk to bar person, other patrons or each other. Some funny signs about,...More

We camped in our Winnebago in the grassy back yard. The cost is a donation to the Flying Doctor. There's not much going on in town - the pub is the focal centre. HUGE (REALLY HUGE) meals make great value for money.

Friendly helpful staff in all areas, typical country pub-style meal (huge, tasty and with all the trimmings), room comfortable, clean and well-set out in a quiet location, under-cover parking. Highly recommend.

After a day on the hot outback road the Western Star as a destination is terrific. A little more expensive than Coopers Cabins which is the only other accomodation in town. The staff were welcoming and our motel room more than adequate, well equipped, lovely...More

Stayed at the Western Star for work; while the rooms are typical western Queensland motel rooms; the big attraction is the home cooked meals. Huge country fare with steaks/schnitzels hanging off the plate! These can be served in room or in the lounge area at...More

i paid $ 145.00 in May 2015 for 2 people. I booked via phone as it was the easier way to do it that way. You MAY have a delay in getting a response via the net - seems it's not always available out there!!!!
