Les Cles du Desert is a hotel located in the Merzouga Desert, in Morocco. We came here and slept in a luxury haima and really it was a wonderful experience for all family (my mother and my daughter especially!). We arrived there with a camel excursion, which was wonderful and you could see the sunset in the desert! Great! Also, our haima has all we need, really it is austere, but it is fantastic for us! the staff of the place was very friendly with us and really all was magnific! Moreover, we had dinner and breakfast here and two moments were excellent. We had dinner vegetable soup and local dishes like two types of tagine and fruits. And we had breakfast eggs, cheese, jam, honey, olives and other local specialities. All was perfect! and the sunrise incredible! We felt at home during the two nights we stayed at the bivouacs. Yusef, Ibrahim and Mohamed made sure we were comfortable in our tent, even in cold January, by providing tons of blankets. The food was succulent and abundant, home cooked meals that warmed us. We did a whole tour of the area with Ibrahim, looked for fossils and visited a nomad family, all the while learning about the region and life in the desert. By night, we stayed by the fire and since I had a tenacious cold, I got treated to a nomad smoke medicine. We shared laughs and stories and in all the bivouac choices available, I know we did the right one. Very thankful for the time we spent with our hosts!

It was our first time in the desert, and this place cope all our expectations! The staff make us feel like home, outstanding service, very clean and relaxing place. The jaimas are amazing and the campsite as well. At night they make fire under the stars and they start singing berevere songs and playing drums...Food was amazing, great chef and good service, all of the staff is very kind. They organized excursions to the nearest town to eat a berevere pizza, to visit a nomad campsite in the middle of Black desert, kohl caves, ride on dromedaire, etc...the guide and the host was incredible. Trully recommended experience!! A piece of my heart remains in this place!! Thank you for everything!!

If you’re in Morocco, a night or two in the desert is a must! We were treated like family, they were really hospitable, we laughed and listened to traditional Amazir music the entire night while sitting by campfire and watching the sky fill with stars as the sun set. The tents and beds were amazing, and food was delicious! It was a truest unique, once in a lifetime experience!
