We are is located in Erg Chebbi, in the middle of the desert near Merzouga, a place where you can enjoy tranquility and admire the starry night. The camp offers a balance between traditional Berber design and current comfort. It has luxurious and spacious fully equipped tent. The camp has a restaurant where you can taste the Moroccan culinary specialties. Don't forget to try our mint tea. In the evening, come and join the bonfire and enjoy drum playing, a kind of traditional music under an incredible sky filled with stars. One of the highlights in the Sahara is its sunset and sunrise, a view must not to be missed. The Moonlight Desert Camp offers the guests an opportunity to escape the crowds of cities and get away from the outside world to enjoy a magical and unique experience.

We had most welcoming, beautiful and special stay at Moonlight Desert Camp. We enjoyed great hospitality along with most delicious fire cooked lamb. The camp setting were gorgeous with all the lanterns, carpets and berber music which did creat most romantic setting. We loved our tent which were luxurious along with the hot shower which were great treat in the cold desert morning. We highly recommend this camp to stay at beautiful Sahara in Morocco.

As part of our 3 day desert trip with Morocco Countryside Tours, we stayed at Moonlight Desert Camp. The camp is nothing short of luxurious. When we finally made it to Merzouga from Marrakech, we were greeted by Said and the camel wranglers/guides. Camp staff took our bags and got us situated on our camels to trek the Erg Chebi dunes and catch the sunset. The guides made sure we were safe on our camels as they took pictures of everyone...funny and great personalities. We stopped to climb a pretty high, steep dune so we could sit and watch the sunset...MAGICAL!! The camels then took us right into camp where we were greeted by Berbers serving mint tea in a beautifully decorated, luxurious tent with dining tables and lounging areas. The camp is first class from the accommodations to the food and camp fire, music and singing. Our tent was very spacious with beautiful decor. The bed was extremely comfortable and very warm (which was needed in November as the temperatures drop pretty low). The private en suite bathroom and shower were spacious, clean, stocked with towels and didn't take long for hot water. There was even Wifi available at the camp. Dinner was delicious and the staff was nothing but gracious and kind. Afterwards, there was some song and music as we all sat by the campfire and sat under the millions of sparkling stars that filled the dark sky. We awoke early to watch the sunrise before breakfast. Definitely don't miss it because it is so peaceful and beautiful. Breakfast was delicious and hot. You can tell that Said and everyone on the staff genuinely care about providing the best, most memorable experience. Moonlight Desert Camp and Morocco Countryside Tours is quite simply the best and we are so thankful to have found them and had this terrific experience. We would recommend them hands down for anyone wanting an authentic and memorable desert experience.

We stayed overnight at the Moonlight Desert Camp and had the most magical stay. The tents are comfortable and clean, with extra warm bedding that was a necessity overnight in November! Having our own en suite with hot water was also a nice luxury for us in the desert. What really made our stay was the incredibly warm and friendly staff who have a love for life that is truly infectious. We had a great time listening to and dancing to music around the bonfire after dinner. A magical once-in-a-lifetime experience for us.

Moonlight Desert Camp was such a beautiful place to stay for two nights. The tent was extremely comfortable, roomy, and clean, with beautiful choice of fabrics on the walls and the beds, and with an en suite bathroom, complete with a sink, toilet and shower. The dining room also was beautifully designed, and the breakfasts and dinners were delicious. In the evening, there was an outdoor fire, around which was a drum circle, with singing and dancing under the starry sky. During the second day, as part of an itinerary planned by Said, the owner of the camp as well as of Morocco Countryside Tours (reviewed separately), we visited a nomadic family, toured an oasis, had a tagine cooking class, relaxed at a small, beautfiful hotel, listened to music at a nearby community, and then experienced sunset among the sand dunes on a camel. What a fantastic day! Many thanks to Said and all the staff at Moonlight Desert Camp!!
