We’ve been coming to Roatan for about 15 years and have spent a lot of time at Bananarama. The dive shop is first rate. Yami caters to divers and understands that divers want bottom time. Excellent service. Your gear is set up on the boat before you get there and they allow you to dive the way you want to dive. They take out small groups which is very nice. The Thirsty Turtle has very good food at very reasonable prices with nightly specials (don’t miss 2 for 1 pizza night!). Carolina is the best, sweetest waitress on the island. Janelle and Debbie in the office will take good care of you when you’re staying there. They will make sure that your stay there will be comfortable and enjoyable. The beach is kept clean and beautiful.

We visited for the third time in mid-January and we still love Bananarama! The location on West Bay and the people who work here are the two best things about it. We were so happy to see that Miss Carolina is still here serving at the Thirsty Turtle with her beautiful smile! We also enjoyed Kenneth and the three amazing bartenders, Edison, Israel, and Derry! Thank you all for your attentive service and for helping us with our "treasure hunt" that our friends will be participating in next week! We look forward to seeing you all again someday!

We have stayed here before and loved it. With negative test and form filled out on Honduras immigration website getting here was a breeze. As there are no cruise ships visiting, we have the best beach in the Caribbean almost all to ourselves. Dive boats are going out with between 2 & 5 divers. Reef snorkeling & diving is superb 100 feet offshore. The water is super clear with less boat traffic. The staff is following strict COVID precautions even though there is very little on the island. The main difference is that there is an island wide 9pm curfew. Bars and restaurants are closing at 8 so staff can get home. There are three locations to get the return COVID test within walking distance. Dining on the island is a bit more expensive as taxes have been added to help the people get by. Bananarama is always amazing. From the office (Janelle),To the house keepers, the gardeners, the bar tenders (Derry, Edison,Isreal),Cooks(Sayuppa,Minor, Roger), and our servers (Carolina❤, Dishon). They all go above and beyond to make your stay at the resort amazing!! Now for the dive shop, great young staff,from the boat captains (Rolando, Brian), dive masters (Yami) (Martin) to the dive manager (Andrea). They all made sure we were safe and each dive was slow and relaxed so we could explore. I would definitely recommend Bananarama dive and beach resort and we will definitely be back!!❤😊
