We stayed in the main building of the castle in the apartement 104. This apt consists of 2 bedrooms and one living room. It is furnished with historical furniter and is really spacious. We were satisfied with this apartement. Wifi was only available in the living room. Yet the castle was a bit "behind its best time". We couldn´t use the swimming pool because the water was really cold (we were told that the pool heating is out of order - and it was the whole week). Breakfasts were fine, wide choice and nice place to sit.
We were expecting much more, after reading the comments of other guests. However in the mean time it looks like there were some (unfortunately bad) changes in management and staff. Our room had nothing to do with the eulogized atmosphere of a castle hotel, rather more with a pioneer summer camp from socialist times. Inferior tasteless furniture, bed with saggy mattress. Same thing in the bathroom - no extra shower place - you have to jump over the edge of the bathtub and get your shower behind a curtain. The floor gets wet and slippery, so before you make your next jump over the bath edge, you have to wipe it, using most of the towels you get. After waiting ages at the unoccupied reception we have been told to hurry up and be in the restaurant before 20.00 o'clock for dinner, as on Sundays it closes earlier. The only waiter - dingily, food far under the standard of the praised "castle kitchen". May be the management should have a look at other castle hotels in the Check Republic, like Zamek Zabreh - there is a lot to learn!…
This is not a hotel, it is a mansion that offers an amazing experience from the first minute you come in. It feels more like a stay at your affluent friends home rather than the usual hotel stay. The food is delicious and the breakfast has all options. The wellness area is also a good addition to the services. My only negative comment is the very soft bed mattress. Anyway this places worth every crown you pay, stays in historic mentions of this sort cost a multiple of what you pay here.
Do not know where to go for honeymoon or any special event? This is the very right place! I have recently stayed here with my friend and I was feeling as a princess in a gorgeous salon and a spacious bedroom. Typical furniture in a historical suite, crystal lights, old paintings, all nicely set together. Exciting! Great wellness facilities and TEPIDARIUM is a must for everybody! Whirlpool with champaign was great, too. Indoor swimming pool a bit colder, but very relaxing, too. The dining room with great food, smiling and helpful staff - all this brings an atmosphere of elegancy. Definitely pay for a suite!!! It is worth that (I had 103). Also - go there by car and enjoy the mountain countryside visiting remarkable sites around.
We totally enjoyed staying here! This is a old building, but with charm. There is a garden, small pool and area for sun bathing. Parking is included. Reception made us feel very welcome. English did not work very well, but it did not matter:) Our room was basic size with a touch of old times. Good wi-fi! Breakfast was very nice, had it on a big terrace. Hotel restaurant is very good, we had dinner there every night.
