We travelled here as part of a 4 day trip through Discover The World. Direct flights to Kiruna ,and after 1 night in Abisko ( where the Lights obliged) we transferred here. Spent 1 night in our warm room , which was lovely and ready when we arrived at noon, and 1 night in a snow room - having come...

We spent 4 days at the hotel in January 2014 and had a wonderful time. This was probably one of the best vacations we have ever had! We had many questions before going there and hopefully this blog entry will answer one of yours. During our stay we spent time in both the cold and warm accommodations as well as...

Just returned from a most memorable trip,we paid for 3 nights in a Kaamos room even though 1 night was spent in the ice hotel, this way we had our warm room for the duration of our stay which was a god send as we didn't have to worry about sitting around in the lounges,we always had somewhere to go back...

Certainly a unique hotel that for most people require a dedicated journey given its location, popularity and short season. As most people are aware this an expensive night – I think this is the most expensive room that I have tried, having opted on recommendation for an Art Suite at SEK 6300 per night. This price tag comes with a...

Wonderful trip. Excellent food and fantastic staff. Warm accommodation stylish. We were upgraded to deluxe ice room. We had a shower and toilet! Didn't sleep much but a great experience. Loved all the trips and had plenty of time just to admire the stunning scenery. Well worth a visit.

Can't recommend this holiday enough, a truly magical experience. Stay in the cold on your first night as you can't 'check in' until visitor access ends at 6pm. Unless you have a suite, worth paying £25 for a 'changing room booth' instead of a locker - you have mirror, power and hangars! Husky dog and northern lights snowmobile excursions are...

What a great place. Can't even begin to start what was great about it. Lovely staff, great food, super excursions and so, so beautiful. We decided not to stay a night in the cold accommodation as it just wasn't for us but still an amazing experience. We stayed in one of the chalets which was lovely, clean and very comfortable....

Given all the five star ratings that appear against this place, I feel something of a grump only giving four but, whilst I’d agree entirely with others that this is a unique experience, there were parts of our stay which just didn’t justify the five-star price. Firstly though, the good stuff: sleeping on a bed of ice at -5C is...

My boyfriend booked a trip to icehotel as part of a surprise for my 30th. We arrived at kiruna airport late afternoon to be greeted by a representative from the hotel. The bus drive only takes about 15 minute and then you arrive. First impressions were that the place is unexpectedly quiet and it felt quite magical. Our first night...

We stayed here in January, having arrived to a very cold and snowy Kiruna airport in the dark. The journey from the airport was lovely.... huge amounts of snow on the roadside and every house seemed to have a light or candles in the window. As we approached the Ice Hotel there were lots of little wooden cabins lit up...
