Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This lodge is basic, 2-star as billed, but for all that warm, comfortable, and friendly. The rooms are spartan with no TV etc. but good beds, hot water, decent showers. Frankly when there for winter activities (which can be had in abundance as there is a tour office on site and you can rent skis etc.) this is all you need. Breakfast is filling but not fancy and evening meal is slightly eclectic buffet mix but essentially fine. This hotel is opposite the lake with fine views in clear weather and right next to the start of a long long cross-country ski run. For people addicted to wifi this hotel might not satisfy as it is slow and you can only really hook up from the reception and dining areas. But lets face it you'll be here for the snow and outdoor pursuits!

Our stay was 1 week in this hotel with 2 couples (30ties) the guests are between 28-68years and mostly couples going on outdoor adventures. The adventures are easy to book (or pre book) via the agency located in the hotel. All excursion are great, friendly and well organized by safartica. The hotel is typical fins, rooms are clean and the beds are good quality. Don't expect anything fancy but everything you need is there! The hotel food is also good! Breakfast offers enough choice and every evening you get a well cocked local dish with starter main en dessert via a buffet Hotel is located in the quiet area in front of a big (frozen) lake and next to the start of cross country tracks. The ski area is 10min by taxi (€15) and the supermarket is walking distance. I would definitely recommend this place for a great stay in Lapland to everyone

we stayed one week at the Tunturihotel. Room convenient for a family with two children (two real parts in the room). Food was simple but good, and staff very nice. The departures for the outdoor activities organised by Safartica are at the hotel, which is also very convenient. it is easy to complete your program etc. You can practise cross country skiing also just from the hotel. It is a small hotel, quiet, with a bar and a small area to read, play cards, Watch TV. Eventually there is a sauna, very pleasant at the end of your day.

So I stayed here 1 night. Everything else was perfect but.. On arrival, they told me all the information needed but missed important informations like the reception opening time, bus to the airport, checkin/checkout time. I had to do all the asking. Even so, they didn't tell me completely and I forgot to ask somethings. So I checked in at about 4pm. Fell asleep until about 11pm and realised that the heater in my room was not on and couldn't find a way to turn it on. It seemed to be controlled by main system I guess. So I was freezing cold and went to the reception but it was closed. I spent the whole night freezing. On arrival, I did ask airport bus time so that was all they told me. On departure day, I thought I had to wait in front of the hotel and asked the reception. Then they told me "did you call the bus to pick you up here? Because bus don't stop here, you have to walk to the souvenir shop. " I was freaking out because I only had less than 5 minutes and that was the only bus to catch my flight. They should've told me that when I asked on arrival day. So she called the bus and luckily it wasn't too late, the bus could still come and pick me up. One more thing, the Internet is available but blocked when the reception is closed. it's only available in main area.

Clean and friendly! You feel at home at Tunturihotelli. Hellevi and the other hostess are very helpful. The location is perfect, besides the lake and the forest. Just at the door you can start cross country skiing, and you are close too many adventure's safaris with Ylläs Adventure team, close to the hotel. Only 5km from the skiing resort!
