We booked directly with the property by telephone. These people couldn't have been more helpful and the place was so beautiful. We stayed in the 'apartment', which has two large bedrooms, of which we used one. Large, modern sauna, w 2 showers, and nice sitting area next to sauna or outside. Built for winter and skiing w cloths drying cabinets popular in Finland. Large TV, modern kitchen, design lighting, furniture and fixtures. And walking distance to swim in lake and to hiking trails, which we were after. Dishwasher was nice too as we were there 3 days and 2 nights. Walk to 'well' restaurant/bar where we had take out burgers (also a 10/10 experience) and also walk to large shopping complex, with grocery, post, gas, and electric car charger. Beds were exceptionally comfortable and we were just so pleased at how new, fresh and clean everything was. And a helpful reception staff, ready with advice on berries and beaches. A famous winter ski resort (which we have done years ago) and a delightful summer retreat because the areas is well serviced and a hiking and trail-bicycle centre.

In short we didn't know what to expect and we absolutely loved it. It was our first time in Yllas after several years in Saasriselka where we've always stayed in hotels. What the lodge offered was something much more personal but without being intrusive. The staff are exceptional in their warmth and the place feels cosy and authentic as well as being clean and well maintained. The breakfast was healthy and generous; porridge, muesli, cheese, fresh yoghurt and bread, boiled eggs and of course coffee. The lodge is 3 minutes walk from the cross country tracks and 12 minutes from the supermarket if you're cooking your own evening meals as we did one several nights. Our one minor reservation was that the men's and women's saunas are separate. Overall though it's excellent.

We had a lovely time on Lodge 67. We worked remotely from there and enjoyed the nature taking short walks during the days.
Breakfast was fine, and there were some places nearby for food. You can borrow a fatbike or kick-sledge for free.

Very cozy place, warm athmosphere, extremely friendly and nice staff. The breakfast was delicious and the room clean and tidy with a nice view. The fat bikes provided were convenient. Also the saunas felt absolutely relaxing after the days spent on the skiing tracks.

My husband and I stayed at this charming newly renovated hotel/B&B for 3 nights before the Christmas rush. It was immediately obvious that the owners put lots of thought into the decor and furnishings, evident from the color scheme, seating in the common areas, down to the cute reindeer and pine tree mugs and platters in the breakfast area. A very refreshing change compared to the typical utilitarian Finnish lodgings. We stayed at one of the standard rooms upstairs in the newer part of the building, although there is a larger suite with an in room fireplace per the website that seemed befitting of cold Lappish days that we must try next time. The historic section of the building is still being renovated. The in-room fridge was stocked with karelian pie, cold cuts, butter, eggs, juice, yoghurt and milk for breakfast, there were fruits, bread, cookies and coffee as well. Our room was equipped with a coffee maker, electric tea kettle, pot and pan, plates, bowels and flatware. So if the typical burgers and pizza of the tourist restaurants or Lappish food is not your thing, small meals can be made in room. There's even an in room clothing dryer to dry all your wet clothes from your snow adventures. The sauna is in the basement, and I hear there's another one being built.
The owners were friendly and helpful and provided equipment and helpful hints for our snowshoeing adventure. The Äkaslompolo shops and restaurants are a short walk away. We drove to the ski resort down the street, there's a bus you can catch as well.
We had friends who stayed at the Yllas hotel next door who regretted not booking a room at this lodge. We had a great time and look forward to coming back!

I stayed at Lodge 67N with my partner for 4 days between Christmas and New Year. Our stay there was unforgettable! Everything from before the arrival, check in, accommodation and breakfast was perfect and we couldn't imagine a better place to stay at our first trip to Lapland. Niina and Toni, the hosts, were extremely friendly and helpful. Already before the arrival I received all the neccessary information from Niina, including the snow activities which we could book via the local agency. Toni waited for us at the Lodge despite our late arrival. It's both of them who create the amazing atmosphere at the Lodge. We didn't feel like guests, but like family - I enjoyed the breakfast prepared by Niina and our long conversations. The Lodge is located probably in the most beautiful part of a small village Akoslompolo. It is close by to the lake and only 800m from the local village center. We could see from our windows reindeers passing by - what an experience! The house is beautifully decorated, you can immediately say that Ninna put so much effort to make it feel cosy and warm - exactly how we felt there. Our apartment was very spacious with a private kitchen, storage room, drier for wet clothes and a big balcony. The breakfast room had a fire place and there was a sauna downstairs. I can definitely recommend Lodge 67N and will come back when I visit Lapland next time. Niina and Toni - thank you so much!

This is my favorite place during my 10 days' trip in Finland this Jan. It is a pity that we only can stay there for 1 night. Really enjoy the stay there. Although it was cloudy, with owner's information, we managed to see northern light. Thank you and hope can stay there again.

Yes, it is possible to see the Northern Lights (when they just are active) from Lodge’s property. Lodge have rooms where the windows and balconies are facing the north, and at the same time there’s no light pollution on that direction to disturb the show. So there’s a chance even to admire the Northern Lights from your very own room.
When outside, you don’t have to drive at all – it will be enough to step away from the artificial lights, and look up / north. This is easy as the street lights will be turned off in Ylläs every evening at 10 p.m. starting 1st of November 2015 until the mid February 2016. This will make it easier for you to see the Northern Lights.
