I never realized how beautiful Lapland would be. The accommodation has the most beautiful surroundings - literally winter wonderland.
There was a lot of sledges around for the kids to play on - they had so much fun doing this - using the snow mounds/hills in the hotel area.
Our apartment was really spacious - seemed clean - and had a great dryer cupboard for anything that got wet in the snow, dishwasher and a sauna. (we were busy on activities so didn't spend much time here.)
It was great going with TUI as there was fun activities for kids in the spare time as well as in the evening, the reps were also very helpful with bus times/recommendations etc. The day out to the snow village was brilliant.
Staff in the hotel were very friendly and helpful.
Great bus routes to nearby ski resorts where kids can sledge for free.
There was one issue but luckily this didn't ruin our holiday - breakfast was fine BUT dinner/lunch was not so great for food. Our kids aren't fussy and managed to find something simple like chips/chicken nuggets but the pasta dishes/meat dishes were really unappetizing for us - I stuck to what the kids ate, as I'm quite a foodie this was disappointing.
However this didn't ruin the trip and I probably would return and use the breakfast but eat out nearby for dinner as the hotel was still great value.
As a travel agent, I notice this one always comes up a great price including food - sometimes cheaper than the other hotels which dont include any food - AND you have apartment facilities plus the food - so I don't understand why people moan so much as its still better value.
Yes some of the apartments are a little far away but there are sledges nearby to help with luggage.

Overall lovely holiday and experience for our first time to Lapland. We were part of a large group of all ages including children aged 3, 6 & 7. The temperature had been quite mild for Lapland and there had not been a lot of snow but luckily when we arrived there had been a bit of snow. Just seeing the snow is exciting & provides lots of fun for the children sledding. We booked through TUI and overall I think it’s an overpriced holiday and unfortunately not very ‘Christmassy’ we could have paid a fraction of the price and went in January/February and it wouldn’t have made any difference. The rooms are ok, spacious & clean which is the main thing. Food is awful at the hotel and be prepared the drinks (even soft drinks) are ridiculously overpriced (if you drink beer- very flat, not quite a pint glass and they’re charging 9 euro for that. 15 euro for a glass of red wine. ) The day out to the snow village was fantastic, we had a taster husky ride, taster snow mobile (pretty long session for a taster) visited Santa he doesn’t say much and you are in & out), children decorated cookies too. The only problem about the day here was it was far too short. We had 2.5 hrs to cram everything in, meaning we had to cut short our walk inside the igloos etc. we could have spent a lot longer here as really it is your full experience.
The finale meal is very very disappointing, again very overpriced drinks (53-64 euros for a bottle house wine). The Christmas dinner was boiled potatoes (hard) or chips no roast potatoes, tinned peas & carrots and smoked turkey, it was not edible tbh. Puddings were nice though. Experiencing a winter holiday, sledding, and the snow village was brilliant, but if we went again we would not book through Tui or a package holiday and wouldn’t be as bothered about it being Christmas time as I think Lapland UK is far better for the Christmas experience and excitement for children.
Hope this helps anyone looking to book.

Could not fault the whole experience, the TUI flight was festive with games, songs and Santa landing on the roof, the accommodation was perfect, we stayed in a log cabin which are out of the way and had such an authentic feel with it's own sauna, the cabin was warm, clean, comfortable and had everything you needed, even extra shower gel and shampoo. We really enjoyed the food even my slightly fussy 7 year old. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. There were plenty of sledges around and lots of mounds to play on. We loved our Santa day at the Snow Village hotel which was breathtaking, and the snowmobile trip to see the real Santa! He was so authentic! The supermarket is a short walk away and behind it is the frozen lake with the Yllas swing. We also visited nearby Konnijannka petting farm and the hotel booked our taxi. We loved every minute of our stay! Didn't feel busy or touristy which is just how we wanted it.

Check in at the hotel was swift and the gentleman on reception was very friendly. He gave us directions to our room which were fairly vague and the room numbers are not clearly signposted so we had a bit of a time trying to find where we were staying. Brrrr!
I should also state, that being plus size (uk 20/22) and my husband being a bigger build also, we were worried about them having a snowsuit to fit us, but I can assure you not to worry they have a massive range of sizes and do cater for small to larger people. We were provided with a snowsuit, wool socks and boots. These need to be given back the night before you leave.
Our apartment was basic but spacious. It was on 2 levels, twin room, bathroom, kitchen/living room on the lower floor then a twin room and toilet on the upper floor. We were full board but there are sufficient items provided should you want to go self catering. Hair dryer and towels are provided. The beds were surprisingly comfy.
Initially the apartment seemed clean, but after a while we noticed the bathroom floor had not been swept or mopped, especially behind the toilet. A few dead spiders dotted around but that can be forgiven. Chocolate wrappers in the downstairs bedside table and the dishwasher wasn't emptied from the prrvious guests. No heating was on when we arrived so had to report to Reception and the lady sorted it out straight away. Apparently the fuses in the box had tripped out and the temperature wasn't set. But grateful it was dealt with quickly, the apartment was nice and toasty after that especially upstairs.
The food was a buffet style selection, it was ok. Nothing to rave about but sufficient and had food suitable for everyone. Such as chips, nuggets, spag bol, lasagne, meat, fish, potatoes, salad etc. Free water.
While the swimming pool at the hotel was ok, I personally feel that the photo advertising it was heavily photoshopped. It was smaller than I had expected and by the time you had 4 or 5 families in there it was full and so we left after about 40 mins. Plus the water was absolutely freezing. There is also no life guard on duty for the pool. The pool is open every day but only from 3pm.
Reception ordered us a taxi for a day trip that we had booked independently (not through tui) to a reindeer safari - (villa Vaamila) i would definitely suggest going here, very enjoyable and heidi was super good with the kids and extremely knowledgeable about all her reindeer.
I feel that the hotel staff were friendly and happy. We didn't really have much to do with the tui reps, our welcome talk on our coach wasn't the best and we felt we were not given all the info we would have liked. However the elf (fizzy) on the way back to the airport was very happy and friendly and took the time to speak to each individual guest about their stay.
I have attached photos of the upstairs twin room (we pushed the beds together) very basic, could have done with a bedside table lol. But was nice enough. Also attached a photo of a view looking towards the restaurant area.

The hotel is in a good position, ten minutes walk to the local village but take a kick sled for a fun trip down. At -25C make sure you take ski gloves and a knock face cover, my eyes started to freeze by the time I got to the shops. The walk to the frozen lake is about 10 mins also and worth the trip. The northern lights were brilliant and apparently the best they’ve had for a while. The food was excellent, don’t believe the other reviews. There is plenty for all and the breakfast has a lot of choice the salt cured salmon was my favourite but if you like cereal, toast or cooked breakfast you’ll be happy. The rooms were clean and the sauna was great, the rooms were always warm. We went with TUI and I have to say the reps were useless. When we go back I will book everything individually as it’s easy to get around on the ski buses and you can book excursions easily. I would suggest the reindeer excursion if you’re going to book one, it was a great experience on Christmas Eve through the forest it was Magical. The Christmas Day party was ok, this was heard at Y1 ski resort, the food was fine and the bar easy to get to (you pay for the drinks but they were slightly cheaper than the hotel). The party starts at 7.30ish and with little children it’s too late, we shared a taxi back with a couple who had a baby, €20 on Christmas Day I didn’t think was too bad. This was our first trip to Finland and Lapland, we will be back. The hotel is nice and well placed, however I think we will try the Saaga hotel next, a short stop there and conversations around what it’s like convinced us that would be our next hotel.

Spent 4 nights in this hotel with TUI 4 night break. We stayed in the standard 1 room apartment ( If available pay for the upgrade ) for 3 people these standard rooms are very small, while they were right next to the hotel, with a short walk to the restaurant but you couldn't swing a cat in the rooms, and very hard to walk around people. there is a pool, which is open till 7 pm pool water does take time to get used to, would recommend using the pool area to get changed out of your outdoor gear due to the space of the standard rooms. The temperature was -16c and by the time we were leaving got warmer :) -6c / -8c. The Food overall was nice can't complain, but the drinks in the Hotel themselves were extremely priced at 4.30 for soda and 9.30 euro for heinken. would recommend taking a walk down to the supermarket and getting your kids soda down there for 2euro.
For Gala Night was ok, for Covid it felt uncomfortable everyone packed into a room, I would skip it if I was going again. I would also recommend bringing with you a headlamp, there isn't much daylight over there at this time of the year "December"

We were able to see the Northern Lights twice. The hotel is relatively well located (10 minutes walk from a village, supermarket, etc.). The entertainment is relatively decent, two animators on site (Rémi was our designated animator) the animators are available, accompany us in the evening to see the Northern Lights on request and lend us games as we wish (nothing to say). The food is varied and the excursions are great. Small problem was the price of drinks at the hotel which were excessive (an all inclusive would have been welcome for an extra charge). For the rest nothing to say.

My daughter booked Santa trip through Tui ..absolutely fantastic . We stayed at this hotel for four nights ,full board .
We had a family room ,just behind reception. Room was perfect, well equipped.. Full kitchen amenities..dish washer..microwave, kettle ..Hobb ..plenty pots and pans . If you are going self catering everything you need . Super market is 10 minutes walk. Fantastic airing cupboard, which dries your snow suits effectively. Rooms are spacious..plenty room for family of four .
Shower room ,with sauna.
We had breakfast, lunch and dinner at the hotel restaurant. Porridge is the best I’ve ever eaten , Mrs Claus secret recipe I was told ☺️ Plenty of choice ,something for everyone..my grandchildren never went hungry..and they can be a little fussy .
Lunch and dinner was equally excellent… Staff are all very nice , but I believe if you treat someone respectfully, warm and friendly..they reciprocate it .
Hotel has a regular bus service to a nearby ski resort..(7 euros each way ,per person..we booked a private taxi 20€.. It is free to sledge there ..the children had great fun for a couple of hours . We then lit a fire in a nearby yurt ( wood and matches there for your use ,free)
Part of our holiday booking included a trip to Santa village ,husky ride ,and snowmobile ride ..
I can fully recommend this hotel .. It has always been top of my bucket list to visit Lapland at Christmas..so lucky to have my been .. Pure magical from start to finish.
We were even saw the northern lights!..wow

Booked through TUI, was supposed to be full board, but whilst there was a kettle and fridge etc in the accommodation, there was no tea, coffee etc. and was told to walk to the supermarket. As a single parent to a child with additional needs, this was not that easy. The rooms are warm and spacious. Beds were not comfortable. WiFi was great. Sauna was lovely and shower had brilliant water pressure. Food was okay, odd combinations but perfectly adequate. Full board only allowed soft drinks with breakfast, such as orange juice etc, but nothing for other meals except water. Always had tea and coffee going in the main restaurant. Accommodation is spread out, so be prepared for a walk with your luggage and snow suits etc. The staff were great in the restaurant, very friendly and accommodating.

We had a two room (+ a sauna) flat in a somewhat newer, separate building. That was good as there was no noise from people partying in the restaurant (dance with live music). Our flat was tidy and functional, but nothing fancy.
We liked also the location: not far from the town centre (which is not very bustling though) and - more importantly - next to the cross country skiing tracks of the area.
There were goog parking spaces (with electricity avaivable) next to our hotel building.
The breakfast was good - better than the common Lapland level.

Hi, all the rooms are nice, we were in the main hotel which was really nice and very warm. We booked our trips through TUI, they were very expensive but we had a great time. You can walk into the village and book with operators there. The Santa village has taster rides which are very good and the Santa sleigh ride visit is magical through the forest.
The Lapland trip is worth booking, expensive but memories that will stay with you.

"Don't go on a husky or reindeer excursion in the afternoon. It's too dark to see anything. TUI don't supply any gloves so bring waterproof ones. We paid around 60 euros "
