We went to sauna and ice swimming here. Everything went well, sauna was good and atmosphere even better. Thank you! One thing would be nice: maybe there could be open turns in sauna so you dont have to rent it by yourself

Property's Favourite Review
We were in cabin no 1 and loved the location of these cabins right by the frozen lake. The cabin looked just beautiful from the outside, complete with bird feeders and swings for kids etc. It was a truly stunning sight when we arrived there on a beautiful sunny Winter's day. The temperature in the cabin was nice and warm. We also really liked the sauna, how well equipped the kitchen was and the views from the bedrooms. Great to have two toilets as well! The host was very helpful and came to welcome us. We also thought the use of the local mobile phone + aurora alerts was a nice touch. There was a supermarket very nearby as well as several restaurants. It would whole-heartedly recommend staying here for anyone travelling to Akaslompolo! Disliked · We found the staircase a little bit difficult for our 4-year-old. We also thought that the cabin was showing some signs of wear and tear, especially when compared to the beautifully furnished log cabin we left behind in Luosto. Stayed in: Three-Bedroom House with Sauna

This review is based on the Yllas lig cabins in Akaslompolo booked through Inghams. The flight was good with Jet 2 was good and on time. Kittila airport is small and a inghams rep was great at sorting the large crowd trying to get the cases. We arrived at our log cabin and we're very please. Had to make our own beds but the linen was fresh and clean. The cabin had everything we needed. Rustic is the best word. Great drying cuboard for wet stuff, a fully kitted kitchen, washing machine, and sauna. We forgot to bring a hairdryer but one of the inghams Reps managed to find us one for the week. A nice personal touch. We tbought one of the bedrooms was small but it did the job. Bed were very comfy. The level upstairs had a very steep and narrow staircase. Would not like to put children or people with mobilty issues upstairs, but we only used the space to store cases. We didn't downhill ski but booked lots of trips through Inghams, snow hotel, snow shoe walking, snow mobiling, winter walks, husky sleding reindeer farm visit, snow boarding taster session, plus best of all we saw the northern lights 4 out of 7 nights. There are sledges everywhere, no need to pay just find one and take it. Four 50ish adults had the most fun sledging down the path of the Yllas fell. We also tried cross country skiing and just hired the skis from destination Lapland in the town, the tracks are really well mapped and not over crowded. So much to do for those who want to go to Lapland but not ski. Great super market, good shops and pubs, we ate at the Akas hotel, breakfast was very good, evening meals a bit boring so we ate out 3 times. The inghams Reps in resort were great, very helpful and interactive with all guests. A wonderful hoilday with amazing memories

We had such a great stay with Vesa and Marja. They are very friendly and helpfull. They call you on the cellphone you can borrow when the northernlights is to be seen. The cabin is well equiped with everything you need for a great stay. The cabin has a lot of space , is very clean and comfortabele. The location SUPER!! Very near to the lake. Next to the supermarket and shops. Activity operators just across the street. Busstop in front the road near the cabin. The ski area is about 10 minutes with the public bus.

Have stayed at Yllaksen Yopuu the last three times we have been in Akaslompolo and I am not sure that I would want to stay anywhere else now as it is like coming home each time we arrive. Marja and Vesa are always helpful and are on site most days, the cabins are warm and cosy and there is absolutely nothing (unlike some of the other companies) that you would want for. The cabins are on the lake which is great for Northern Lights shows, we have been lucky and have seen them most years now. The cabins are in a great location in the centre of the 'village' & isn't far from the supermarket and restaurants. They are a short walk from Snow fun safaris and Destination Lapland to book all of your trips from. Looking forward to my next trip already
