A stunning location and great staff but........... My wife and I had room 33 in the old part of the building, which was pleasant enough but the bathroom was really disgusting. The WC was beyond cleaning - should have been replaced years ago. There was well established mould growth in several places around the bath/shower and also growing on the...

Stayed overnight but should have got here earlier to enjoy the surrounding gardens and local area. The interior suggested quality and the service and cleanliness demonstrated this. Will use this place again and it is not as expensive as you think

The sign outside states cream teas served 2-6pm (or 7?), anyway popping in to enjoy a cream tea my partner & I were told that you had to pre-book. When asked if we could book for a little later that day we were advised no. I then re-read the sign outside & called the reception desk to complain that the...

We had the most fantastic afternoon at Chartridge Lodge. We had an afternoon tea for 70 people to celebrate the joint 80th birthdays of my parents. I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the staff, they were amazing. My Mum has severe Alzheimer's and they had even kept a room aside for us in case we might need to use...

The rooms we stayed in were fairly good, they were large and the beds were comfortable with decent bathrooms. I would rate the hotel higher but their breakfast needs a review! When we arrived we saw a small buffet selection of hot breakfast but rather than having self service they had one poor waitress serving everyone. Despite her best efforts...

Sadly a very average hotel, my room had a broken tap, curtains didn't meet and needed more hooks on them. All very tired looking. Billed as a conference venue yet the WIFI signal was weak to none existent and the mobile signal wasn't much better. Ironically I was kept awake most of the first night by a very noisy heating...

In need of an overall update, old fashioned in places. Room clean but bathroom wasn't, big black rim around toilet, don't think it had seen bleach for a while.Grounds to the Lodge are stunning with plenty of wildlife. Young bar staff very friendly . Room clean

Was expecting so much from this hotel but a major disappointment. Main cause of this was the food - it was hideous. Ate there in the evening - Wedges fried to within an inch of their life. Breakfast not much better - hash browns were the same. Did not venture for full English as based on night before expected more...
