We stayed at Sol Rio de Luna y Mares the week of Sept 24th to Oct 1st. We booked after reading the comments on TripAdvisor and realized that it's not just beach vacation. There are a lot of things to do in the proximity.

The Luna side is quieter and used mostly by older adults. It has its own pool. If I was travelling single I would prefer the Mares side though, which is more animated, has a swim-up bar, also hosting water games for adults (water pollo, voleyball), dancing lessons by the pool, upbeat music, etc. It depends on the individual likes and needs but definitely Luna y Mares would be great for singles.
