My husband and I just enjoyed our second visit to Casa di Vignolo (our first time was 13 years ago, with our two kids), and we were so happy to return! I can't imagine a more perfect home base while visiting Tuscany and Umbria. Pergine Valdarno is charming and refreshingly quiet, and we appreciated being in a town that isn't...

Irene & her brother were excellent hosts and made us feel like family. She showed us around the village on arrival and also invited us into their home for a home cooking class which was a highlight of our trip. The villa was spacious and took you back in time but with some modern conveniences. Local wineries were excellent and...

For over one year we've been planning a one month visit to Italy and considered literally hundreds of places to stay while in Tuscany. After narrowing it down to a handful of possibilities, we decided on Casa di Vignolo and could not be happier with our choice. It was absolutely perfect. The small village of Pergine Valdarno is the perfect...

Spent an awesome week as the guests of the Gren family at Casa Di Vignolo, a beautifully restored 11th century building. When our friend first spotted this place on the internet, he sent me photos and info and I affectionately nicknamed it "The Rubble Pile". It in reality is a beautifully restored and updated stone house in the little village...

Casa di Vignolo may seem to be a bit out of the way. However it is perfect for escaping from the tourist crowd. It is an easy drive to Sienna, Arrezo, Assisi and the Tuscan hill towns and an easy day trip to Florence by train avoiding all the parking problems there. There are 3 properties in the village, we...

Five friends shared this charming rental for a week in March. We all enjoyed shopping for groceries and great wine at the small local shops. We had a Italian cookbook written in English and tried many great recipes. You need a rental car to enjoy this villa as it is a 45 minute walk from the nearest train stop in...

We rented Casa Di Vignolo and it's neighboring rental La Micia in April 2011. It is clean, inviting and convenient for travel within Tuscany. The best steak we ate on our Italy trip was just down the road from here and we purchased fresh food daily from the small shops in Pergine. The owners have a notebook of things to...

We stayed here for two weeks. We rented a car and took day trips from here. It was amazing. The house is incredible. Seriously. And spacious enough to fit six of us easily. The town is a little off the beaten path nestled between Arezzo and Siena. The signs were great so there was no problem finding it. The locals...

We stayed a week at La Miccia, Casa Di Vignolo's little sister. Pergine has an "off the map" feel. On a hillside in a town where a scan reveals no wireless networks in range! Waking up in the morning and walking out the door to look out over olive orchards was incredible. The owners are very nice and speak excellent...

Put simply: Casa di Vignolo is AMAZING!!! This villa is the thing of dreams. The absolute most perfect place. I was nervous when I booked (you never know what you are going to get) but upon arrival my party and I were awestruck by how incredibly perfect this villa is. The villa is so beautiful. You feel immediately at home....
