We were visiting Claremorris with family. Bridget on reception was extremely friendly and welcoming. Anne on the second morning had to cook breakfast as well serving us. She cooked it better than the chef who overcooked the eggs. Room was okay but bathroom very dated and tired Overall the trip was good and the staff were lovely

This place is a kip. Would not recommend that you stay here. The staff are unhelpful and definitely not friendly. The rooms are small and basic and the bed fell like second hand. Please if you are going to book a hotel in Claremorris please don't book this one.

We booked the Western Hotel Claremorris 2 weeks before travelling. When we were only 20minutes away from the hotel we got a phone call to say SORRY NO ACCOMMODATION as there was a leak in the hotel, 3 phone number sent by text and we were to book alternative accommodation. We continued on to the hotel and meet the receptionist and she informed us the MANAGER and OWNER were unavailable. There was a musty smell as we entered the hotel. The Owner was to return to the hotel before 7pm and he would phone us. Two days later we had not heard from this hotel. I phoned the hotel and was talking to the Manager and she offer us a meal,a voucher for the hotel or an ALL FOR ONE VOUCHER FOR €50.00. We didnt except any of these as we live to far away and a €50.00 voucher was an insult. Again the manager was to get back but we have not heard anything a week later. The least this Western Hotel could have done was to find us alternative hotel accommodation and pay the difference. WOULD NOT BOOK OR RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE.

LOVED this small boutique hotel right in the center of town. The minute we walked in we were welcomed with an open blazing fire in the reception area. Check in was extremely efficient. Seems like there has been recent renovations as the restrooms looked brand new. The staff were all so friendly and inviting. Room was clean and fresh towels were provided each morning. Full Irish Breakfast was delicious. I loved our stay here and would highly recommend.

Stayed here twice whilst passing through. Cheap and cheerful. Yeah might need a lock of paint but the staff are lovely, the owner is a great conversationist, makes ya feel welcome. I was in work clothes no probs. Middle of winter and was too hot for me but most people would find it perfect. Good sleep! The burger is awesome! Will be back.

I stayed in this Hotel on a few occasions before and at one time I give it a good review there was a few things I saw but I let them slide , but this time was hell and I have to tell people about my experience October bank holiday weekend 2019 . I stayed on Sunday night in room 105 but as I learned the next morning I didn't sleep alone . The noise all night was dreadful , there was a nasty order in the room and I couldn't find what it was . I think I dozed off at 4 am as the noise was so bad , I felt dry in the mouth and a bit sick when I woke at 6 am , I went to use the bathroom and when I opened the bathroom door I was choked by fumes from the toilet , I ran and opened the hall door to let the fumes out , and sat on the bed to try and get my breath , then I looked on my pillow and there was something moving , so I looked closer and it was a bug , I pulled back the duvet and there were more in the bed, and then to my horror I saw spots of my blood on the sheets where these things had a feed on me in the night . I called the reception and the porter came up and saw this, he didnt know what to do, so he made me a coffee and I sat in the lobby until my train time . I couldnt use the toilet so I couldnt shower before my trip home .. I have received an apology of sorts from the owner and my money refunded , but that was not the point, the point is that people should not have to pay for or sleep in a bed that is in this condition in any hotel. I was utterly disgusted ... The staff are very nice , but this place should be fumigated. Never again ! I have video but cant share it here .
