I was very pleased to find this place, as the other options available in town were vastly more expensive and I will certainly stay here again when visiting Berkhamstead, especially as the couple running it seemed like lovely people, with a relaxed attitude towards breakfast and checking-out times. The bed was comfortable and my room was clean and nice and...

Stayed here for an evening as my other half had been put here while working away. On arrival, he noted they would not be staying there past one night as it was not great. It has a good location, on the High Street but this may be all it has going for it. We had a double room. This was...

5 of us booked to stay while doing the Chilterns Cycleway. Due to punctures we turned up late but the owners were absolutely fine with it, even offered to wash our stinky wet sweaty kit that I was going to wash in a sink. We locked our bikes up in the cafe overnight instead of leaving them in the back...

Its pretty clear the owners don't look at the Tripadvisor reviews that other guests have left as they have done absolutely nothing to fix any of the issues that have been raised previously. The walls and the carpets are dirty, really dirty. The best piece of advice I can give when using the shared bathroom is that its best not...

I was very wary about staying here as from the outside it seems a little dilapidated! My main reason for staying was the price as the only other accommodation in the centre of berko which were a good deal more expensive! I emailed the proprietor multiple times with various questions and requests and was always responded to in good time...

I stayed at Berkos with a friend as a convenient stop on the Chilterns cycleway. It has a handy backyard where we could lock up our bikes and cyclists are welcomed. The central location on the high street means Berkhapsted's shops, pubs & restaurants are on your doorstep. As others have said the owner is friendly & welcoming. I feel...

As a last resort I had to book this B&B whilst visiting the area on business. The owner was exceptionally nice and accommodating but I'm afraid this is where the good news ended. My room was in the roof space of the building and it would be no exaggeration to say that the room was completely disgusting. The carpets were...

Owners (who live off site) are friendly and helpful enough. You get clean sheets and towels, plus it is well priced. However this is a pretty run down B&B and a little dirty with no ensuite showers and few ensuite toilets. I would recommend spending just another £10 a night more and consider somewhere a little nicer.

Had the misfortune to stay at Berko's when on a business trip. On the first night I was given a basic room which was acceptable although tired, and realised I had to share a bathroom/toilet. That evening when trying to use the bathroom I found that my bedroom door was stuck fast and I was unable to open it -...
