Having just returned from one of many visits to The Royal we can certainly say that our stay was one of the best. After suffering a period of decline after its original splendour, the hotel has now been almost completely refurbished with new bathrooms and bedroom furniture which are superb. The beach front suites have enormous private balconies with magnificent...

Many thanks for posting a review on your 26th visit to The Royal. We feel very honored to know that this stay was one of your best and that you are pleased with the refurbishment to our suites and the new Chefs changes to the menus and new dining experiences. In fact our signature restaurant Chic will also have some...

We stayed at the sister hotel next door (St-Lucian) and had a water pipe burst in our room. We were sent to the Royal for the night as they could't fix our room until the next morning. What a blessing that was ! The room we were given was awesome and such an upgade from the sister hotel next door....

This hotel is fantastic for relaxing and getting away for a while. It's found in Gros Islet, in the very north of the Island. If you are flying in from Europe/America then it is a LONG drive from the airport in the far south, about 1 hour 45 mins. Some take a helicopter up which is a nice alternative. Once...

My mother and I came here for some rest and recovery and The Royal provided everything we were looking for. Comfortable beds, great bathroom and shower (even if you flood the bathroom with each shower)! The beach beds and shade provided are lovely and you tend to be left alone from anyone hawking on the beach. I reccomend getting a...

Returning home to Saint Lucia after my wedding in the US, I decided to spend a relaxing weekend at the Royal St. Lucian. Stepping into the recently refurbished suite I was taken aback by the luxury of the room -living room, bedroom and the bathroom is a dream, not to mention the terrace with its beautiful panoramic view of Pigeon...

This beautiful hotel right on the Reduit Beach has the best position in Rodney Bay. The recently refurbished rooms are all spacious suites and are well looked after. The management and staff are all first class and exceptionally helpful. You are made to feel so welcome that we have been returning to the Royal for many years. There are many...

I had booked the St Lucian rex for my husbands 60th birthday. (23/11 -2/12) I had emailed a couple of times regarding birthday plans. when we arrived at the Rex we were told we were being upgraded to the Royal, next door. It was excellent, they are suites not just a bedroom. All the staff at both hotels are very...

We stayed at the Rex Royal from the 20th November 2012. The staff were absolutely first class. The reception staff and bartender were fantastic and very friendly. The Manager, Richard was extremely helpful, friendly and approachable. The Sommelier/Maitre D was incredibily knowledgeable about wines and very attentive. The location of the hotel was second to none. The beach and private...

Having been disappointed before by hotels that don't live up to their photos on the web, I can honestly say that this hotel looks even better in person. Some of the design elements don't quite work right (the vessel sinks splash and the waterfall showers flood easily), but the staff is working out the kinks. The pool is beautiful and...

This was our second time in St. Lucia so we knew that we wanted to stay in Rodney Bay where there are lots of restaurants, stores and a supermarket within walking distance. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Acclaimed as one of the best in St Lucia, the spectacular mile-long Reduit Beach fronts this all-suite hotel while, with a backdrop of rainforest covered hills, atmospheric Rodney Bay is reached within a few moments stroll. Standing in beautifully manicured grounds, the hotel offers an elegant blend of privacy and sophistication. Beneath palm-frond parasols, elegant furnishings allow for lazy days on the sandy beach or relax instead by the large lagoon-style swimming pool shaded by palm trees. The Royal Spa offers an enticing variety of treatments ranging from a reviving jet-lag busting massage to sensual aromatherapy and body care while, for the more energetic, the fully-equipped fitness room is available free to our guests. A delicious full buffet breakfast is included at L'Epicure, an elegant al fresco restaurant next to the beach which also offers tantalising a-la-carte dinner choices. Fine dining experiences can be enjoyed at Chic in the evening while, cooled by gentle sea breezes, the Beach Tent is a perfect venue for lunch. Perhaps enjoy a cocktail at the charming Minstrals Lounge before visiting the elegant Oriental restaurant (seasonal) or Mariners buffet, located at the adjacent St Lucian by rex resorts, or strolling in to town to experience the local ambience. Children are welcomed at the Royal and can enjoy the childrens club available on weekdays at set times at our neighbouring hotel while everyone can benefit from the wide range of activities accessible locally including water sports, horse riding, golf and exhilarating tours to explore the natural beauty of St Lucia. ... more   less
