Went to the restaurant with friends and the all said it was the best food they have ever eaten! Food is amazing with a wide choice even for the gluten free and vegetarian. Nice portion sizes with all of the 3 courses and a friendly comfortable atmosphere, may have to come back to the Highlands just to eat here again!

What a pleasant location to find on our Solana holiday. I booked this place due to location of Cairngorm National Park. I had no idea this was such a great, quaint establishment. Quiet, comfortable, beautiful location, what more could you ask for from a bed and breakfast? How about spectacular food and incredibly friendly staff. Highly recommend Rowan Tree and...

A few minutes drive outside Aviemore. A very pleasant retreat, well located. Staff very friendly and obliging. Our twin bedded room was a little small but that goes with the period of property. Having said that there was everything that we needed, the beds were comfortable with good linen and towels. The only two down sides were that when I...

Although beautifully situated and decorated with extensive menu, this hotel is run badly and without care for the quality of guests stay. Not welcomed on arrival, booking not taken for dinner accurately, put into a back room for dinner, buggies certainly not welcomed during dinner service and the manageress very patronising and unwelcoming. On confronting her on this issue she...

Dear Hannah H, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. I never respond to good or bad reviews unless the truth is distorted. I remember you and your party well - so well that I made notes on you visit due to the appalling behaviour of your group. I think below is more of an arcuate account...

Stayed here whilst working in Aviemore which is about 2 miles away. Hotel is located along B5912, with good views, rooms are very comfortable, quite spacious and with everything needed for a good stay. Food in restaurant is superb and well priced, breakfast next day was excellent. Recommended!

4 people eating, the starters were amazing the best scallops ever tasted and presented wonderfully. Steak for mains and this just melted in the mouth. Highly recommended, greeting is weird though as non resident you are made to wait in the lounge outside the restaurant where you are offered drinks and a menu, you choose from the lounge what you...

Had such a wonderful time here - the hotel is beautiful with amazing views. The staff were so friendly and went out of their way to help - especially as we travelled with a dog (very dog friendly). The food was amazing and reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and we'll certainly be back!

The Rowan Tree is well located for Aviemore and its associated activities of walking, skiing, mountain biking etc. The decor in the rooms is a little tired but the rooms are large enough and not unpleasant. Where the Rowan Tree scores highly is in the resteraunt, the food was fabulous with a good selection cooked beautifully.

We treated ourselves to an overnight stay with dinner. We ate in the bar as our dog was with us, but this was not a problem for the staff, they were very attentive and the food was just fantastic and generous portions too. Our room was extremely comfortable, big bed & much to my husband's delight a huge tv. Breakfast...
