My husband & I stayed here for 3 days during our honeymoon. We found it by pure fluke through a tour agent and were very glad we did. The lodge is set in a beautiful jungle setting, overlooking the river Mopan, with palm trees, iguanas and hummingbirds all around. The main town of San Ignacio is only 10 mins away...

On our recent short 10 day trip to Belize we needed a tranquil spot to really unwind. Iguana Junction was perfect, on the bank of a swimable river and almost imersed in jungle - it provided a "Back to Nature" feel with everything you need to chill out properly. We particularly loved spending an evening on the hammocks in the...

Iguana Junction is a welcome relief from the heat and bustle in town and from the excitement and exhaustion of being on the road. It’s one of those delightfully rare finds when you are traveling: quirky and unique, with a soothing and welcoming atmosphere and genuine value for money. My husband and I were collected from San Ignacio (by prior...

Iguana Junction occupies a stunning location overlooking a beautiful section of river where early morning swims were a highlight of my stay. The river is easily accessed down some well-made concrete steps and well places sandbags which lead you right out until you reach the sandy riverbed. This small, welcoming resort offers an excellent place to relax and enjoy your...

Great outdoor living at the Iguana! Cute, clean little cabanas. Warm, welcoming hosts. Beautiful riverside location. Spacious decks with large, hammock hung palapa. Aptly named, with large iguanas hanging from the trees and dropping into the river. Right on the banks of a great, thigh-waist deep spot on the Mopan. Lovely for a cool dip. Great, central location for exploring...

We stayed at Iguana Junction just as it reopened with new owners taking one of the newly refurbished cabanas. The cabana was comfortable, it had its own bathroom, and a small veranda and chair hammock for the siesta. There is a big palappa in the garden with more hammocks, and a huge deck above the river, with access for a...

We stayed at Iguana Junction for a little under two weeks and enjoyed our stay immensely. The lodge is run by a really friendly family and is set in a lovely traditional village on the Mopan river. Although its out of San Ignacio (only by about 5 minutes) it feels like you've entered a really relaxed place as soon as...
