Loved this lodge, the peace & relaxation was superb, chilling in a hammock overlooking the river with a broad range of unusual birds, a perfect way to spend the morning. Had not expected the excellent bird life as it is a farming area. Food mainly sourced from site, very fresh & well cooked. Guides were pleasant, knowledgeable & easy to...

Black Rock is a beautiful property - from the cabins to the hiking trails and common areas, it's a serene and perfect place to spend time. The staff goes out of their way to accommodate all requests, and the food is excellent. It was difficult to drag myself away at the end of my visit. Could not have asked for...

To say that the staff at Black Rock Lodge takes care of their guests is an understatement. Don't let the road to Black Rock scare you away from staying at this gem. While bumpy, the landscape is truly amazing. We loved the rows of Teak Trees before arriving at the lodge. You soon realize that the trek you made to...

We enjoyed a wedding and reception hosted by the Black Rock Lodge. The staff was attentive and friendly. As I understand it, they do not usually do weddings. But you would not have guessed that as the whole thing was well organized and the staff put the hearts into it. The food was unexpectedly amazing. The chef is obviously very...

The setting is gorgeous, the staff is excellent. Every expectation was exceeded. Peter and Petro contributed much to our experience, they were irreplaceable as hosts. There was extensive well trained staff to take care of us. The lodge property mixes native beauty with carefully tended botanical gardens. The dinning was cruise ship quality.

We had a wonderful stay at this truly unique location in the jungle. The staff really care and all went the extra mile. We were there for a wedding and the food was exceptional. I highly recommend this place and would love to go back.

A little tough to get to but worth the trip. A beautiful setting, comfortable accommodations, great meals and a wonderful staff combine to make this a must visit destination when you are in Belize. Peter and Petro are excellent hosts and their obvious pride in what they do shows up in all aspects of this resort.

Staying at Black Rock Lodge is the equivalent of paying for a business class ticket or getting the higher tier prix fixe menu at a restaurant - it's pricey, but worthwhile if you know exactly what you're looking for. It's off the beaten path for sure (15 minutes of rough roads to get there after a 3 hour shuttle ride...

This place is MAGICAL. From the moment i stepped foot on premises, i could sense a special kind of energy and magic about it. Every aspect and feature was incredible, but what was most distinct and unmistakeable was the extraordinary care of the staff. You can tell they love this place, they love their jobs, and they love one another....
