The staff at Black Rock is truly amazing. Each person goes out of their way to make your trip special. Each day you are personally greeted with questions on how to make your day special. The staff reflect the value system of the owners who have a deep connection to the location and to Belize. There is an abundance of...

I cant say enough about the wonderful welcome that we received from BRL. Giovanni, Petra, Ignacio, Rocky, and the list of names goes on and on. The rooms were all first class and in clean immaculate condition and all with enough room not to be disturbed by your neighbor. The views from all aspects of the resort not a lodge,...

This was our first trip to Belize with our kids (aged 10, 12, 14). We booked Black Rock based on a recommendation from friends. It was such a special experience. The setting of the lodge is amazing. It's nestled into a very wild valley with a small river at the bottom, the lodge on one side, and views to the...

The location is in a peaceful and beautiful wood, next to a river where guests can practice river tubing for free. Rooms, food and drinks are simply lovely. The lodge also offers many activities (such as trips to Mayan site, excursions, etc...)

Living in the south of Belize, I traveled to Black Rock Lodge on a whim, simply wanting to get out of town and go someplace beautiful. And that, Black Rock Lodge is! Nestled in the mountains, the lodge is a great destination. I was able to get some great writing done on the banks of the Macal River. The staff...

One of my favorite experiences to date! The surroundings are breathtaking. We stayed in Cabin #19 which is one of the newest rooms. It was overlooking the Macal River. The room was clean and comfortable with modern decor. There was a large private deck with two hammocks and a table and chairs. We did a kayaking tour with Freddy and Sam...

Amazingly beautiful setting in the middle of the jungle with incredible bird life (and howler monkeys) and a beautiful river (where you can go tubing down the rapids). The service is excellent and genuinely friendly by all at the lodge. They know it matters and they make sure everything is impeccable. Visit Caracol ruins - In the middle of the...

We had a perfect stay at this lodge. Everything from the staff, to the rooms, the bird life and the food was excellent. We had room #11 (Deluxe Riverview) and loved it for it's privacy. We had 2 hammocks and we spent a lot of time in them watching the birds. Make sure you get up for the 6:30am bird...

Just getting to the Black Rock Lodge is an adventure. Staying in the Rain Forest for several days, was very memorable. The suite, facilities and staff were all wonderful. Dining was designed to be a social event, mixing guest’s seating nightly, allowing different guests to share their experiences. In July it was a little warm at night but quite acceptable...

Black Rock is amazing! We had such a great time. Of all the places we went in Belize, this is the one we will come back to. We stayed in a riverview cabin, and it was comfortable and had a great view, loved the deck with the hammocks. We were able to see lots of birds right from the deck....
