Everything about this place is wonderful. It's secluded but close enough to reach the surrounding villages and towns -- even if the roads are a bit of a challenge. The rooms are beautiful and expansive. The food is delicious. They offer an array of activities and will accommodate

Good morning Ronin, I am so happy to read that although you were apprehensive about staying with us at first, we proved you wrong! To answer your question about A/C, since we are completely self supportive in both water and power (the latter through the use of generators and inverters), it is not possible at this time for us to offer A/C in the rooms as much as we would like to. We do encourage our guests to use the river to cool off in the afternoon to make for a better sleeping night. May be later on in the future who knows! In any event, I am so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we do hope to see you again in the future. Take care and have a wonderful day.

Hello, we are considering traveling to your resort in July. Do you accommodate vegetarians? We eat eggs and dairy, no meat or fish.
Hi, I am also a vegetarian and it wasn’t a problem. The breakfast is delicious with fruits and pancakes and other pastries. Dinner offered one vegetarian special each night and they had nice sides that you could make a meal out of. There was plenty of vegetables offered on the menus. I think you’ll love this resort if you go. It was such a relaxing oasis!!

Good morning! We will be visiting the resort soon and I wanted to know if there was any way to be able to keep some of our own drinks or cold snacks while we are there? I do not believe there are any fridges in rooms, so any suggestions please? Thanks! Sue
Suggest bringing your own cooler and asking for a bucket of ice from the bar or restaurant. Alternatively, order a bucket of beer/water/juice/soda from the bar and pick up or they will deliver to your cabana on your request. This will be billed to your room.

Hello! Do you offer parking if we arrive with a rented car? If so, is there a fee for that?
As previously noted, most all of the roads excluding the main highway from the airport are very, very bad. Oddly enough there are a few exceptions around Mystic River but only short stretches. Saying the roads have serious potholes is very true and maybe even an understatement. I suspect the road quality does also vary greatly with the dry vs rainy season. For example, Mystic River guides indicate some of the tourist sites are simply inaccessible during rainy season due to the roads. As an apparent resident of Colorado, most of the forest roads in Colorado are tons better than the roads in Belize. So be sure to get the extra, super duper insurance package from rental car company if you do go for a vehicle. As a guest of Mystic River, you don’t really need a car - at least this is true if you sign up for their adventure packages. I did and it was well worth it. Being a passenger was exhausting enough. I can’t imagine how tiring driving would be.

Do they have free internet available on the resort?
Other answer nailed it. I’d add that the couch and fireplace in the restaurant is perfect location for Internet catch up time. There’s also the lounge chairs, next to the restaurant that overlook the river as another internet catch up spot. No in-room service (with probably a few exceptions) was a bit limiting at first. It didn’t take long to find it liberating to be disconnected some.

One of the available rooms says it has a “private-detached bathroom”. Does anyone know how detached it is? Is it close by? Any info would be helpful! Thanks!
Hello Kristen, I am not sure what that means! All our suites have a bathroom inside and definitely not a outhouse! Please go to our website and check the photos! Let me know if you have any other questions. Take care and have a great evening.
