This place is amazing. It has an authentic rustic charm about it off the beaten track about an hour out of Paris. The room has the best bed I have slept in on this trip. As with most French villages, Lachelle seems uninhabited and in the middle of nowhere (vast arable fields), but it's a short drive into the historic Compiegne and, on the way, a large Carrefour in the Zone d'Activité Commerciale de Venette. What a gem this Chambre d'hote turned out to be. Booked via the internet as a location close to "Parc Asterix" as part of our 2013 holiday. We had a lovely stay. Really friendly owners.
