Detailed Reviews
Absolute fabulous breakfast, irish breakfast as it should be. It is billed seperate, and worth every single cent.
A lovely comfy and cosy b&b situated outside carlow Town, perfectly placed for a quiet feel of the irish countryside, and only a small trip to get into town for a night bite.
We were made feel welcome instantly upon arrival by lovely hosts who made sure we had all we needed.
The beds were very comfortable, giving us the perfect rest, and having an electric shower, I did take advantage of showering longer than usual :)
I would highly recommend this b&b to anyone looking for a great stay over and a super breakfast to get you ready for your day.

We stayed here for 2 nights Bed /Breakfast when the Community Games were on in Carlow weekend of 24th & 25th August. This was an excellent stay. House was very neat and clean and beds really comfortable. The Hostess was very welcoming and helpful and could not have been any nicer. The food was excellent. would highly recommend this Guest House.

Our host Anne was very welcoming and helpful. The whole place was spotlessly clean. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower nice and hot. A cooked breakfast was included. I had poached eggs with bacon and grilled tomato. For the money it's very good value.

I have nothing to say but positive things for the owners of this B&B. We were treated like family from the moment we walked in. The breakfast was exceptional and the beds were so comfy. We even had wonderful recommendations for dinner. Do even hesitate. Book now. You will have a lovely stay.

We had a nice welcome and a friendly stay at our first night in Ireland. The rooms are clean and we were offered tea, coffee and some biscuits on our arrival. The next morning breakfast was more than we needed. We really can recommand this B&B.

(early Sept-2019)
Anne, our host, was a lovely lady and her husband too. Shared local best to go place for meal and it turned out to be fabulous.
It is located in a quiet estate, with nice view overlooking pasture. We arrived early but was welcomed and shown to our room.
A nice plate of cookies and tea were served too, which we enjoyed as we got to chat a bit about our trip. Sorry for that as we kind of disturb her ongoing activity.
Please bring along bath towels and extra amenities if you need. Basic bath and shampoo soaps are provided. Our room has the bathroom cum WC across, but it was only us as the other rooms have theirs attached.
Breakfast was delicious and such peaceful place to be in. Highly recommended if you like quietness and serenity.
Just be careful to not shot pass the entrance gate. It was a beautiful place.

Quarry Ridge was recommended to us by a friend when we were in the West as we were having a difficult time finding a place on our way to visit in the South East. Anne greeted us and recommended several places not too far away to enjoy dinner. She took the time to have us follow her car to the restaurant so that we didn't miss the turn off. Our room was comfortable and the breakfast was nice. We had a quiet rest on our busy schedule. This was a pleasant one night stop over.

We stayed here for electric picnic and were told, by Anne that it was a ten to fifteen minute drive from electric picnic. It turned out to be a 45 minute taxi ride, which made our weekend very expensive. She offered us a lift one day and charged more than the taxi. The shower also did not work properly. I would not stay here if you are heading to electric picnic next year!!

Hi Anon20141989, I'm very sorry you had an unpleasant experience during your stay. We are 20-25 mins from Stradbally - I can only assume you were caught in massive traffic congestion if it took the taxi 50 mins to get there. You inquired if there was any other way to get over (other than a taxi) and my daughter offered to take you and another couple over and collect you all afterwards. you all agreed a price of €12.50pp return which works out at €6.25 over to Stradbally per person. This is a lot less than you would have paid for a taxi. Again, I'm sorry for any upset you felt and we only aim to ensure all our guests are happy with the service they received during their stay with us.

I've been to Ireland from the US 2 times in the past 6 years doing genealogical research for my book, and both times my family and I have stayed at Quarry Ridge B & B. Our stay with Ann and her family has been the highlight of both trips. True Irish hospitality is evident at its finest, and we felt very welcomed, like part of the family, here. I might have randomly chose Quarry Ridge the first time we stayed, but now, any time I make a trip back to Ireland, I will definitely make it a point to stay here!
