We stayed one night at the railroad engineers house with our children (6, 3 & 2). The house was beautiful and we all slept super well. The breakfast was served at the main house and it was so tasty, different & elegant I did not want to leave the table. I highly recommend this place, totally beats all other options near and in Lappeenranta. There is also a shop full of beautiful items at the main house so good to plan some time for shopping :)
A delightful cafe in the countryside near Lappeenranta. Visited on Sunday afternoon and it was buzzing with life. The staff are delighful, smiling and very relaxed despite the endless flow of customers. The pies and cakes are dreamy. Very family friendly. Can't wait to return again!
Very nice place, extremely friendly service and superb accommodation. Well worth the short trip from route 6 just for coffee or for the full B&B. The breakfast was also well worth the extra 10 € or so.
The home-baked buns and cakes were excellent! We enjoyed them in a gazebo in front of the main house, which used to serve as a railway station dating back to the Russian tsars. The family that runs the place is very friendly and hospitable, taking care that everything was ok throughout our stay. I truly recommend to visit this place even from afar!
We stayed in this charming old railway station B&B and coffee shop for a night, just 10-15 minutes away from highway E6, close to Lappeenranta. Charming rooms, excellent breakfast and what an atmosphere, directly back to 1900. English German, French, Swedish are spoken. Worth of visit for coffee and stay, please check web site and facebook for some impression.
I was vising cafe only for a cup of hot chocolate. It is very nice and comfortable with its own unique style. There were a choice of delicious cakes, we've tried two of them and really enjoyed both. The owner is very polite and even allowed us in before the official opening.
This is a charmingly restored beautiful 19th century railway station in a rural setting. If you are looking for a peaceful relaxing Finnish experience this is for you. We booked a weekend stay, our room was beautifully furnished/designed and the hosts were so friendly. There were bicycles available for hire and the surrounding countryside was beautiful. The coffee shop offered a nice selection of cakes and coffees, adjacent to a shop selling a range of lovely interior design goods. Note though that the shops are only open on weekend afternoons. We would stay there again.
