A lovely welcoming place to come, and a splendid breakfast! Wonderful views from the balcony out over forest and the river, birdlife in the garden, and sightings of pairs of scarlet macaws flying over. We were lent their CR bird book, and offered loan of binoculars. We never got round to using the pool, but appreciated the walk round the...

This was such a great experience. Claudine is a great hostess, the house is beautiful, the view great. We enjoyed the pool and watching the animals in the garden from the veranda. The room was spacious, clean and had a good bathroom. The breakfast was lovely! We would definitely recommend staying here.

We stayed for four nights at Rancho Capulin and found it a lovely peaceful place, visited by numerous birds. It is set among the hills just back from the coast, with glorious views from all sides. Claudine and Norbert are kind and helpful hosts, and did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable. They will facilitate tours if you'd...

After following Claudine's precise instructions we easily found Rancho Capulin. The view from the main house were truly breath taking. The gardens surrounding the pool were immaculate. After a good tour with Jose Crocodile Tours we visited a local restaurant for a meal. We had a lovely back to nature evening listening to the birds and insects. Claudine served an...

The views are stunning from the main house where you have breakfast. Saw tucans and iguana from the balcony. Relaxing pool area. The accommodation is spacious but quite basic, however it was adequate. Little kitchen area outside which is really useful if preparing your own lunch. Breakfast was pancakes, fruit and bread. A bit disappointed with that compared to other places. Restaurants...

Rancho Capulin was our first place to stay in Costa rica. We stayed in La Casita. Highlights: Only 1h drive from San Jose, close to Park Carara, nice welcome by hostess Claudine, beautiful garden, excellent swimming pool to cool down after sunset, extensive breakfast with view on the valley, scarlet macaws flying over in the morning and late afternoon. Very...

So glad I stayed here..wish it had been longer. This is a perfect location to start or end a trip due to the location. The property is well maintained, room was clean and well maintained. I originally booked the Rancho but ended up staying in the newly built casita. Super cute, well designed, light, bright with plenty of ventilation and...

It was a great place to stay for a young couple like us. Some costa rican b&bs are a bit disappointing in terms of standards and this one was just perfect. The room was very clean and modern, the pool is nice and we had a delicious breakfast in the morning. But most of all, Claudine and her son were...
