This was a red-letter day gift from partner for an overnight stay, dinner & brewery tour on the Saturday. We also booked the Friday night too. The rooms are what you would expect from an old style country pub we found it comfortable with tea/coffee facilities in the room .It is a good base if you want to explore the local...

We arrived at 6pm and hadn't booked a table and the pub was packed. A waitress managed to find us a table for 8, and we had some fantastic beers. The food was good, between us we had liver, gammon, and belly pork. I was impressed with kids meals, a good choice and no chicken nugget in sight (hurrah!) they...

We were very disappointeed with the accomodation and though it was terrible value for the money charged. The bed was not comfortable, the bedding was cheap and scratchy. I really disliked the fact that there was a mattress protector that crackled - like the sort you use in a child's bed. The toilet brush was filthy and it did not...

We have been to the New Inn several times over the years and have always enjoyed both the food and selection of beers. We visited for Sunday lunch recently and our party of 6 left feeling rather underwhelmed. After being shown to our table and having our orders taken the food arrived promptly. Good start. My wife and I had a...

I had the best pint of my life here. Cropton lager. I can't wait to go back to relive that and maybe try some more. Lovely. Good atmosphere and menu looked good. There were plenty of people there for five on a Thursday. Welcoming to kids too

As always service and food were exceptional. Along with some great locally brewed booze! The couple running the pub were first class. Made us feel like locals straight away. Been the last few years and must go to the tour next year. Look forward to seeing them all soon.

we arrived late so couldn't sample dinner but were greeted by a very friendly host who took her time to explain the range of beer on tap at the bar. And very nice ale too.... Our room was clean and tidy and although not that modern had a nice charm to it. The bathroom could have done with a refurb...

As we were on holiday, we called ahead to The New Inn to check that they were happy to heat up baby food before the six of us visited for an evening meal. We were told that they could provide this service and so we booked a table. When we turned up at 6, half an hour before we could...

This is the 2nd year that I have visited this pub for the Adventure Bike Riders motorcycle rally.Ample camping with very basic facilities in the field next to the pub. They serve decent food although a little bit expensive. My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights whilst attending the Pickering War Weekend. The pub is ok, needs a lick of paint to tidy things up in places but on the whole it's a quaint country pub. The staff are very friendly although they did seem a bit stressed over the weekend saying they were slightly short staffed....
