Spent 3 days/2 nights here with my husband recently. Had a truly memorable and unique stay. Everything was very well organized - airport pickup, transportation, smooth boat rides, etc. I really appreciated not having to worry or think about the transportation, all of that was seamless. The lodge itself is beautiful. Food was wonderful and plentiful with fresh juices at...

Our guide Victor was so knowledgeable and ensured that everyone had a great experience. The lodge was well maintained, the food was delicious and plentiful and the staff took good care of everyone's needs. We stayed 3 days / 2 nights and felt that we got to do all the activities and still have time to relax. The pace and...

Incredible experience, local guide excellent. Rooms basic but large, en suite and clean. The millions of creatures making noise at night is unforgettable. Once in a lifetime experience, must be on your bucket list.

Very cool place. Went in August 2013. If I remember correctly it was a 2 hour boat ride down the amazon from Iquitos. Spent 3 nights. It's small, maybe 8 or 10 rooms. You are in the middle of nowhere, and that is a good thing. Rooms looked like tiki huts and were separated from each other by wooden boardwalks....

We stayed for four days and three nights and it felt like more than a week due to the fullness of beauty, activities and meals all day. It was the ideal Amazon trip with a mix of nature hikes, river cruises, chilling at the pool and visiting indigenous communities. From the shuttle airport pick-up to being dropped of there again...

This was a great place. The rooms were spacious enough and very clean for a lodge. Its not a 5 star fancy hotel but very clean and spacious given its in the jungle. I don't want a fancy place in the jungle that goes against preserving the jungle at all. This place was environmental as far as I could tell....

I went with my family, and we all had a great time. We had a dedicated guide, anthony, who knows very well the animals, plants, people. Pretty good guide. We had several activities, including searching pink dolphins, fishing pirañas, birdwatching, etc and even a shamanistic ritual. Food was very good, tasty and plenty of local flavours. Rooms were fair enough...

Before going deeply into describing Heliconia, I find it important to first be clear on the definition: it's a Lodge, in the middle of the Amazon. It's not a five star accommodation ... it's not an any amount of stars accommodation no where! In order to get here you have to make an hour and a half speed boat trip...

I would definitely recommend to visit Heliconia Amazon River Lodge. The lodge is very comfortable, the food is definetely very tasty. I travelled together with a small international group of 7 people UK, Hong Kong, Spain and our local guide Vladimir was very knowledgable.
