We stayed at Blue Horizons Garden Resort for the umpteenth time in March 2020, just before the covid pandemic, then had to cancel twice over the next two years and now, in July 2022, we were able to return to what has become our absolutely favourite place in the whole world to vacation, ever. Hands down. No exception. We love everything about Blue Horizons. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. We do indeed feel like we’re “coming home” each time we return. The grounds are exceptionally beautiful, and my pictures don’t do the resort justice. Some resorts offer blaring music all day long--here, you can hear birds singing. Many resorts have absolutely no personality, here, you are virtually living in a botanical garden, with numerous varieties of trees and bushes and flowers. The effect is stunning! The rooms are comfortable and exceptionally clean and well maintained. It’s great to have a kitchenette with a full-size fridge and stove, something that isn’t so common anymore in this age of “all inclusivity”… we get groceries at the IGA at the Spiceland Mall for breakfast and picnics, and sometimes have lunch at the poolside restaurant or order room service in the evening (the chicken roti is to die for!)… there’s a new restaurant, Antonio’s, within a 5-minute walk that has excellent pizza and bruschetta. The wifi and AC work without a hitch, and the beds are very comfortable. There's an area close to the pool with shelves and shelves of books left by previous guests, where you can pick up books or drop yours off (mostly in English, but some in German and French as well) Blue Horizons is locally owned, and we like to support a local business, as opposed to one that is owned by a foreign entity… it’s better for the local people, and for their economy. And because BH is on the smaller side, the service is much more personal than it is in a larger resort that can often feel more like a warehouse. Grenada is the kind of island you can visit on foot and by local bus, no need to rent a car. We like to hike and we venture out every day to discover or reconnect with trails that lead to a beach, some as far away as Levera, some as close as Dr. Grooms. Unlike some Caribbean islands, Grenada is very, very safe and we never hesitate to explore the island, nor have we ever felt in any danger. We highly recommend vacationing in Grenada and, specifically, at the Blue Horizons Garden Resort. We guarantee you will love your stay!

I loved this property. It was beautifully maintained, the staff are so welcoming and friendly. And the food is delicious. The location is great for a walk to the stunning Grand Anse Beach, the local shopping mall and cash point. Grenada is small enough to tour all around it, which I would recommend and of course a visit to the Chocolate Plantations are a must.

Nicely furnished and nicely-sized one-bedroom suite. Big swimming pool. Amazingly landscaped lush grounds make for a beautiful setting. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Easy walk to Grand Anse beach - which is amazing. Hotel food was pricey so we ate out.

We have just enjoyed a fantastic time at Blue Horizons. From the moment we arrived we enjoyed every aspect of our stay. Our rooms were huge, with a kitchen and sitting area separate from the large bedroom with 2 extremely comfortable double beds. In all ways we would highly recommend this hotel, the owner and staff are all great, food and drink excellent and the gardens are magical. We look forward to returning again in the near future

Love this place - greenery, flowers, trees, lizards, friendly staff, individual low rise apartments. I felt chilled as soon as I walked in ! The owner takes a proactive role in running the place which is lovely. Can’t wait to come back next year !

Conveniently located a 5 minute walk from Grand Anse Beach and the dive shops along it, including Dive Grenada, the moderately expensive resort offers duplex type chalets with kitchenettes. We got one of the upper king rooms. Over all we were pleased with the layout of the rooms, the available storage and the kitchen. The closet has extra shelving and there is a desk/dresser with drawers and well as extra drawers in the nightstands. The furniture, including the bed, is reasonably comfortable. The bath room has ample counter space and under the counter shelving. The water pressure was not consistent, but mostly OK with plenty of hot water in the shower. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook easy meals including a full stove with an oven. Don even roasted a chicken one night. The pots, pans and other kitchen equipment were of decent quality. There is, however, no microwave and the kitchen cabinets are showing wear. The rooms are air-conditioned and there is a fan over the bed. The room also has a safe and good wifi. Maid service is offered every day. Although we were on the top row of buildings there is an obstructed view of the sea and town with trees and bushes blocking the lower half of the view. It was quiet during our stay but there weren’t a lot of guests around either. The manicured garden grounds are well-tended and pretty. The pool area and restaurant are pleasant but we did not spend a lot of time there. We had no issues with mosquitos. Staff is friendly but we didn’t ask for much more than to arrange a taxi into town and to the airport.

Beautiful quiet resort. Great food , lovely freshwater pool. We had a one bed suite with sea view with a balcony where we did our own breakfast. Breakfast is a bit expensive in the restaurant. Lovely although up a fairly steep hill via a slope or steps. Rooms perhaps a little bit dated esp the bathroom but it was spotlessly clean. Really nice touch in that they contacted us to see if we wanted to keep our room for a few extra hours. Much appreciated. Probably our only complaint would be the lack of atmosphere as so few people staying. If you stay here go to Morne Rouge beach way nicer than Grand Anse. We also got take away pizza one night from the place up the road.

Overall, this is an ok hotel but I would not categorize it as a resort. We would not stay here again. POSITIVE: Strong wifi throughout the grounds. Adequate housekeeping. Refrigerator and coffee maker in the kitchen. Short walk to the beach and landscaped, quiet grounds. The staff was friendly and helpful with a few exceptions. NEGATIVE: We were here in April 2022, and there were very few people staying here. I feel that we did not have the service options that may have been offered during busier times. The restaurant is pretty expensive compared to other good options nearby. We didn't like anything we ate there. It had very limited hours was often closed. We made breakfast in the room most days with groceries bought locally. We chose this hotel because we were looking for some on site options, but ended up going off site for everything. Honestly, it’s a bit overpriced for the limited on site options. There were also no outlets in the bathroom. The staff did not have an extension cord that would allow me to dry my hair in front of a mirror - they seemed surprised that I would want to – so I needed to purchase a $40 surge protector. Lastly, the bed was not comfortable and I had issues with my back during our stay. Our flight was delayed and Expedia confirmed we’d be refunded for the day we wouldn’t be there. A week after we got home, I received an email that the hotel decided not to process the refund. We made the change prior to the cut off date and received confirmation from Expedia. We're disputing the charge.

We stayed at Blue Horizon Garden resort for 11 nights in March. Grenada is amazing and so is this hotel. The staff are kind and caring. Helped with booking restaurants and taxis. Rooms kept beautifully, even did our washing up! All rooms have a kitchen 5 mins walk to very good supermarket. The pool, loungers and pool bar so lovely. The gardens are a joy. We stayed in both the garden apartments and the sea view apartments, both equally good. A short walk to Grand Anse Beach, definitely one of our best beaches ever. Fabulous restaurants within walking distance, Savvy’s, Umbrellas, 61 West, Carib Sushi. Plywood ( fish tacos! ) and Bohos on BBC beach. We hired a car and drove around most of the island. Aquarium restaurant on magazine beach fantastic. We twice went to BB’s Crab 🦀 shack in St George, wonderful! We caught the local buses most days 85p per trip. Great experience, mostly scruffy mini buses , load reggae music. They often drive around a bit until full, bang on the roof when you want to get off! They go all over the island. Our first time in Grenada, holiday of a lifetime. Highly recommend this hotel, great value for money too! Judy

We stayed in a garden view 1 bed apartment, which was home from home. Such a peaceful place to unwind. The gardens are stunning and well maintained. We had a great time seeing all that Grenada had to offer. Had a great Taxi driver on and off for the two weeks. This offers a great central location to supermarket, beach etc. Would definitely recommend.
