We found this unit on VRBO and it was a perfect fit for our family. We had two bedrooms and two baths - the second bed and bath upstairs in the loft area. Love my teenagers but this setup gives everyone a bit of their own space! When we walked in the door we literally all dropped our bags and... More

We stayed in a one bedroom unit that was recently renovated with modern features. The owner designed that unit to become a home away from home feeling. Up dated furniture , shower, and even lights throughout the unit. Very impressive. Will go back again.

Stayed here for 14days from May1st till the 15th. This unit has just been freshly renovated and updated. It's ground level at the front of the grounds so it's just a quick 25meter walk towards the back of the units to the sand and ocean. Great views from here. Unit is fully furnished with a King size bed plus a... More

We have used this company so many times over the past 10 years; we all stayed there for our son's wedding. Sent our other children there for their honeymoons. We also stayed again in July 2015 and will be there again this month. Hono Kai is well-kept. We've stayed in B16 many times, C16 and one of the larger, two-bedroom... More

We stayed for 5 days during March break. The beach is just a few steps away and was fabulous for our 2.5 year old. Lots of turtles and a constant breeze made for nice beach days. Proximity to aquarium was also nice, we got 1-week upgrade passes and were able to go twice. However, be warned at Maalea and the... More

No matter how nice a unit is when you go outside here, its gale force winds which whip you and ruin time in paradise. You will need to spend days either in kihei or lahaina to get a decent beach day away from it. Wish i had known, it ruined 2 weeks in december. Luckily we had a car and... More

I wanted to take my family to Hawaii and I called Stephanie Lockhart at The Tropical Travelers. She suggested this resort and it was fabulous. We traveled in March 2015 and I took my parents, sister, and a friend. As 5 adults we loved the huge lanai since it was perfect area to have drinks and meals. The resort was... More

Spent three weeks here over the Christmas holidays. We found it to be the perfect base for our Maui adventures. The condos are clean and well stocked. We rarely are out because it was so comfortable to cook at home. The single bedroom condos are great for small families. The location on sugar beach close to both Kihei and Lahaina... More

“Unit C9: Quiet, on top floor but next to parking lots Unite B12, B17, A17: No privacy at the balcony as Unit B8 and A* will be able to look right at your balcony, and close to the path where residents take to access the BBQ, pool and beach areas. Unit B8 and A8: great view of the ocean and beach but no privacy and you may encounter noise problem. They are located at the BBQ, smoking and sun bathing areas.”
