We stayed in this condo for five days in Maalaea.70 Hauoli st 313 Maalaea, Maui. It was a perfect condo experience that we’ve had for many years !1. The location was in the center of west coast Maui which is so convenient ! 2. The condo was right on the water near the harbor with sea turtles right outside your window ! 3. The condo was immaculate and stylish at the same time ! 4. It was quiet and people were extremely respectful and considerate of one another ! 5. The owner was extremely communicative and the place was spotless and well organized I even learned a few tips on organizational skills ! 6.The price was very reasonable for Maui and we would go back in a heartbeat !

My husband and I just got back Oct.16.....This is the first time at this resort, and it was amazing. If you want to relax, enjoy the ocean view, layout at the pool, this is it. Also the harbor is walking distance to catch a catamaran to snorkle, or fishing boat. Plus there are 3 restaurants , also walking distance....The place is very clean aswell...We will surely return.....

This was the first time my wife and I had stayed in a VRBO establishment and based on our experience it will not be the last. We were traveling with another couple who have stayed at these type of accommodations and they were very impressed. We had unit 205 and it was clean, spacious, well appointed, and most importantly comfortable. The owners have numerous items, such as beach chairs, snorkel equipment, coolers, games (both indoor and out) for their guests use. They also have a much better stocked kitchen than what I have been told is the normal. We used some of their products and definitely left some of our own for the next guests. Fo a first time experience with a VRBO we were very pleased.

My daughter and I rented a condo at the Maalaea Kai Resort through VRBO in January 2019. It was our first time to Maui and to Hawaii for that matter. The condo was perfect with a balcony that faced the bay. While we ate our delicious self-made dinners of fresh fruits and vegetables, we could watch the sun set, the whales exhaling in the distance and turtles surfacing in the waves just off the edge of the condo's 'lawn'. We kept our balcony door open through which the sea breeze could enter. The location of Maalaea Kai Resort is about 1 1/2 blocks (an easy stroll) from the Maui Ocean Center and the Pacific Whale Foundation (PWF) headquarters from where we departed on three different PWF cruises during our week. We both agreed that we would return to this same condo when and if we have the opportunity to return to Maui.

Room Tip: The room we chose (#302) was selected specifically for the view of the bay from the balcony.

My husband and I have stayed at this condo unit 3 times. The first time we stayed in 401, then 408 and now again 401. Maui is beautiful amazing place. We have been to this island a few times so we are well aware of rental prices. This Condo is $145.00 a night. And, though this 401 has amazing views the inside is disappointing. The carpets are grossly stained, the curtains are dirty and torn, the dishwasher is unsecured, the handle to oven is extremely loose, the ceiling fans are very old and sad. The fridge is old and puts off a ton of heat making the kitchen hot. No screen on the front door to let the breeze through. You have to put a chair in front of the door to keep open. This place is showing it’s age. Also, know that this corner unit is extremely hot in the afternoon because the so called “Sun Shade” is non-existent! It say you can have six people here yet there are only 4 plates. The kitchen is sparsely stocked with essential items. The rental staff and cleaning staff are extremely friendly and apologetic for the owners lack of care and enthusiasm to make this Condo a pleasant place. Do not stay in Ma’alaea Kai 401. There are other deals in the same building and other building along the rental area. Yes, the rental management is well area of all the issues!
