Based on photos and reviews, Hotel Alejandro is an old hotel, which gave me the impression that it may be hosting some long-time in-house "guests." Upon arriving at the hotel, I didn't feel anything eerie at all. Hotel Alejandro has an old world charm. It's added value can be found in the countless photos that hang on the walls -...

What can't be said about this place? It has charm, history, charisma, style and the price is excellent. We had the Executive Suite because, well why not? Not something we would normally do, but the price is so reasonable and you get a lovely large room and giant bath plus a shower. And the price is not heaps more than...

Hotel Alejandro is iconic for its historical features. Entrance of the hotel is a 100-year old ancestral home of the Montejo family. Brimming with pictures dating back to the 1940s, it provides a historical background of the province during World War II. Rooms and accomodations are very basic but clean. We paid 2100 pesos for twin sharing. Wifi is slow...

A cross between a Spanish Mission, a WWII museum, and a hotel. Excellent all around. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Had my suit pressed for a wedding the next day after a late arrival, and needed a 'rush service' after hours. They had it done in half an hour for only 90 Pesos (included rush fee). Excellent and very economically...

We stayed at the Alejandro whilst doing charity work at a local community centre in Tacloban. We really enjoyed our stay! We had a luxury room which had 3 beds, one double, one single and one camp bed style single. The camp bed was very uncomfortable however the rest of the beds were lovely to sleep in. The bathroom was...

Stayed at a superior de luxe room @ P2600/night. Here's a list of included items (amenities?) such as a: 1) boisterous room air-conditioner with minimal cool air; 2 ) non-operational & moldy mini-fridge; 3) bathroom sans outlet & exhaust fan; 4 ) musty pillow & pillowcases; 5) threadbare hand & bath towels; 6) "glutinous" wood floors; 7) putrid smell of...

I am a Leyteño but i have never been to Hotel Alejandro. FYI this hotel is the same place where The Famous Gen Douglas Macarthur make a residence while he was in Leyte. Naturally at the lobby it was full of memorabilia where I enjoyed making rounds of them. The staff are courteous and lovely. I am a principal sponsor...
