It has become an annual tradition for my girl friends and me to enjoy a few days together. Since years we come to the beautiful Spa Hotel Almesberger in the Mühlviertel, in northern part of Upper Austria. The Almesberger Spa Hotel is a 4 Star Superior Hotel, it is since generations family owned, modern with tradition, very high quality standards and superb hospitality. The price-quality relation is by far nothing to compare with Spa Hotels in the USA or other countries. If you come to Austria, enjoy golfing, biking hiking ,and relaxing with excellent food and service , Spa treatment, check out Almesberger Spa Hotel.

Hotel Almersberger was a perfect get away weekend spa hotel. Several swimming areas, all kinds of sauna, damp zimmer, relaxation areas, whirlpools, 2 restaurants and a pool bar suitable for light lunches and drinks. They offer massage and beauty treatments with reservations.

A great way to relax. Aigen is also a great location for outdoor activities (Winter & Summer). Best for us was the Sauna, Quiet Rooms, the special “Beer-hot tub” and the amazing food. We highly recommend this place.

We needed some child free time with my husband and we chose Almesberger for the second time already and were not disappointing once again. Great SPA area, good food and not overloaded with people even when fully booked. We will definitely come back!

We took room "Plöckenstein" - it was nice, cosy but first day not so clean(black hair in the shower...Im blonde). The mattress was tough so nice to sleep on. What was not practical was the light sensor in the bathroom. There was glass door and when someone wetn to the bathroom at night another 2 minutes you had to suffer from the lightning shining to your eyes. The food was average, quite poor. The afternoon snack was eaten in first half an hour and in another half an h.nobody refill it. Spa was nice, not crowdy, nice environment. To sum it up - not worth the price.

Dear Lucka_B007, We are sorry that you were not satisfied with our house and our performance. Your criticisms regarding cleanliness and afternoon snack give concrete starting points for a review of our performance. We would be glad if you would give us a second chance to convince you of the quality of our house. Her family Gruber & the Almesberger team
