We have booked all the three rooms. Rooms are clean and have AC. Care taker is fluent in English and Sinhala as well. Not too far from the Batticalo town and ideal place to discover baticalo. Bathrooms are not attached to rooms. This is basically a hostel type of hotel. But in a good way. One room was around 1500SLR. So it’s fully worth the price.

It's a homestay with 3 different rooms ad an outdoor hut. We rented the middle price room for 1500 LKR per night and we were happy with the room. Bathrooms are clean and big enough. Owner is very friendly and not annoying or anything. 100 meters away there is an indian Restaurant which had the best food I've had in Sri Lanka and is very cheap as well.

Great choice for backpackers and travellers on a budget. The place is very basic but clean and nice and the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Even if we reserved the cheapest room, we got a free upgrade to the beautiful cabana with an amazing view on the lagoon. The guesthouse is also walking distance to 2 very good Indian restaurants, one of which is vegetarian. Furthermore, the kitchen is available for the guests so you can buy fresh fish and vegetables at the local market and cook yourself. Internet connection rocks,as it is super fast. No towels or bed sheets are provided so bring your own [maybe it was because we were there during low season, you can always ask when booking]. Overall, highly recommended.

Its a house with 3 AC rooms (Upstairs and Downstairs) and few other normal rooms. We were a group of 12 and wanted only AC rooms but for extra Rs.2000 we got the full house to our self which was great. The house is nice and have enough bathrooms. Kitchen is also available but could do with more equipment. But for the price i would recommend it. It is also very close to the Bus stand and Train station.

Hostel: Its a very small hostel (only some rooms in a privat building) and so the Tuktuk drivers didnt know the place. You should check the location on your mobile phone before arriving there. The Hostel is located on the riverside and its 15min walk away from the public bus station and 40min walk away from the Fort and other sigthseeing stuff. Room: 2 double beds, WIFI Router in the room, privat bathroom, fan and ac Danger: the owner tried to get extra money for using the ac. But we booked at agoda where ac wase included! Do not pay the extra money but tell them you booked/payed a room with ac. Service: A old men showed us the room, gave us the key and the wifi router. More service is not possible because they do not have a reception or breakfast. All in all the room is nice and the location for some walking tours to the city is good. You have to pay attantion to your included services and do not pay for things like the ac double. In our oppinion Batticaloa isnt worth more than 1 or 2 nigths to stay.
