A REALLY special B&B stay. The hosts, Gilly and John AND their Son Toby made our 2 night stay something to remember. From arrival to departure we were treated like special friends and made to feel so, so, welcome. I would not hesitate to recommend this B&B to anyone and we will most certainly be going there again in the...

My husband and I have stayed in many accommodations in our 35 years together and this B and B is anything but average. And you'll see from my many reviews that I am a reluctant 5 star reviewer, but on this occasion I felt compelled. Having read others' reviews, guests have exhausted all relevant superlatives so I won't repeat them....

It is not often that I write a review while still staying at a location but I felt compelled to do so. The hosts invite you into their beautiful home with a warm and genuine welcome. Our room is immaculately clean and every detail has been considered from a fan for warm weather and a hot water bottle for cooler...

Our host was very helpful, if a bit opinionated. Our hostess provided a very good breakfast and pleasant conversation. The room was fairly spacious, with windows on both sides, but the separate bath was a bit tedious...although very large and manageable. The double bed was very small for two people and the footboard made it quite uncomfortable for a taller...

Attractive, very comfortable accommodation set in beautiful garden that runs down to a fast flowing river and lovely seating areas . Attentive, chatty and friendly owners who made us feel very welcome. Delicious breakfast, fresh produce and much choice, Great for visiting Bakewell, Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Dovedale.

Great little find! Warm welcome, owners were very friendly and attentive (not often that I get to chat about classic Jaguars over breakfast). Accommodation was immaculate and in keeping with the feel of the building. Lovely cooked breakfast. Would definitely recommend and visit again. Thank-you for great couple of days!

River cottage is the perfect base for the peaks. A warm welcoming and very friendly atmosphere has been created. A Beautiful relaxing garden that you could quite easily spend hours in. Home made bread, preserves and locally sourced produce created a perfectly presented tasty breakfast. All the little things you could need have been thought of to make your stay...
