I stayed with husband due to him winning an award at work. Room was immaculately clean and the decor was beautiful and very thought out. I walked into the room and said "wow". The surroundings were amazing and the owners evening invited us to their own personal BBQ with their friends. The breakfast in the morning was fab, big selection and went for the full English which was lovely - well cooked and not greasy at all. Service was happy and joyful. This couple couldnt do enough for us. I would highly recommend and we do intend to go back.

This Bed and Breakfast only has four double rooms. The room we stayed in was fabulous, warm and cosy, exceptionally clean with added amenities. The owners are lovely and friendly. Breakfast is cooked fresh to order is delicious with home made jams and as much homemade bread toasted as you can eat. Lovely location for visiting Chatsworth house and neighbouring villages. Would highly recommend but will not be running as a B&B in 2017.

Couldn't think of a better way to spend a birthday than a weekend in this fabulous B&B. You receive a very warm welcome & Gilly is lovely. You realise instantly that she loves what she does. Room was clean & bed was comfy. A soak in the bath was most welcome after our long walk! If you want a weekend of walking it's ideally placed - no need to use the car. Gilly is very knowledgeable on the area & will give you walks to try or places to visit. You have a choice of breakfast & all taste delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay & didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back

We had a lovely stay at River Cottage. The owners are friendly and made us feel very welcome. The room was ideal - comfortable, clean and with lots of extra thoughtful touches. Breakfasts were fantastic - especially the freshly baked bread and home made jams, delicious! Thank you for a great stay in the Peaks.
