Recently had another lovely weekend stay at this pub and this time we bought two other couples with us. Jez and Karen are great hosts, friendly and down to earth. The pub is a great base for exploring the hope valley and surrounding areas including Lady Bower reservoir with the story of the Dambusters. What I love about this place...

The one thing that really spoiled our evening was the foul language of the locals and landlord. Perhaps this is just normal. There was a young boy and his grandfather having a meal and...
