Stayed here over the weekend following really heavy rain. This was the only campsite in the valley to not refuse my booking over concerns about my van getting stuck...They park you on plastic trays. I found the owners polite & helpful, no evidence of the...More

Ideal if you want to escape from it all whilst having a few luxuries to hand. The site is basic but clean and there's always lots of hot water for showers and washing up. My young children love the freedom here and we love that...More

We are fairly inexperienced campers in our 30s wanting to test out a new tent for a night fairly close to home in Manchester before we get more adventurous and go further afield for longer. For anyone doing a similar thing Edale is ideal. I'll...More

Apart from Edales Basil Fawlty who runs the campsite and the basic shower block this is a reasonably priced site in a beautiful position with fantastic views . Cafe and chippy on site and great pub nags head in walking distance
