My wife and I visited for a few days in August. We rented one of the "cozy cabins" for a long weekend. The cabin was wonderful. Spotless clean, excellent blankets and pillows. The lack of a bathroom and running water in the cabin was no problem, as the washrooms were directly across the road. The grounds were well kept, and...

Great experience at Bare Oaks. As a naturist / nudist resort they have an excellent setup. This is not a clothing optional resort, everyone is au natural, all staff and all guests. So happy to be in an accommodating and accepting naturist environment. Plenty of nature trails with rivers and ponds including a large swimming pond which I enjoyed more...

This Naturist Resort is absolutely amazing for Naturists or for those exploring the lifestyle. Truly a "family" environment. From the young to the old.. we all share this experience. The grounds are wonderfully kept and the people here are wonderful and friendly. From just enjoying the sun to playing volleyball or the numerous activities available.. ALL people would love this...

My first experience going to a nudist camp was at Bare Oaks. While my boyfriend had been many times, he convinced me to take some time off my busy schedule and take a week to relax at Bare Oaks while he went to work in the mornings. My thoughts were... I'll just stay in the room all morning until he...

Thank you so much Sophie for sharing your experience with others! Your enthusiastic comments will certainly help others who are struggling with the idea of naturism. They too will then experience the healing place we maintain.

We had booked a room in the clubhouse for a 5 night stay as part of our tour round Canada. On arrival we were disappointed with the appointment and size of the room, ( Naturist, I know, but on a touring holiday we had a lot of luggage). However the staff were excellent and offered us the grand cabin ,...

The title says it all. This is an excellent naturist park, for members or visitors. We visited for 5 days in a touring motor home and loved it. It is a lovely setting in harmony with nature, with first class facilities. But what makes Bare Oaks special is the truly naturist ambiance. It is not clothing - optional apart from...

We've been numerous times over the last five summers and have enjoyed every visit. Very relaxing and welcoming, and the nudity aspect is most inviting. If anyone has trepidation about going to a naturist park, try this one and your fears will be erased.

My wife and I are relatively new to naturism, but we have been long-time campers and thought we'd try vacationing this summer to a naturist resort where we could enjoy the best of both worlds. We've been trying to get to Bare Oaks for several years and finally made it. We were impressed with the grounds and the attention to landscaping. The people here are friendly...just like naturists everywhere. As others have mentioned there is a focus on naturism here not just getting naked. We'll definitely return if only for a day visit.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with others and for your kind, supportive words. I'm glad to hear that after trying to get here for years, we did not disappoint! I sometimes worry that our reputation might create unrealistic expectations. So it is very satisfying to hear that you had such a good visit.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bare Oaks Family Naturist Park is a year-round naturist park near Toronto in Canada where the entire family can experience traditional naturist values in a modern setting. We are nestled among the natural wilderness of the Ontario Greenbelt and Oak Ridges Moraine. Our varied landscape includes open spaces, forests, ponds, streams and a small lake. We also have many recreational facilities. Our clubhouse provides year-round amenities including saunas and a whirlpool. Bare Oaks offers day-use memberships and seasonal campsites but also welcomes visitors and travellers. Some might use the terms nudist and nudism to describe us and what we do. But we prefer naturist and naturism because our creed is so much more than just taking your clothes off. It is a life philosophy with physical, psychological, environmental, social and moral benefits. We go beyond a mere recreational pursuit and promote ethical naturism. We endeavour to live a naturist life and nudity is key to body acceptance and an integral part of our naturist philosophy. As such, we are not clothing-optional. Clothing is worn only for protection. We give visitors a chance to adjust but everyone is expected make a decision as to whether they want to be naturists or not.Located between Toronto and the gateway to Ontario's cottage country, it is the perfect location to stay while visiting Toronto. A short drive south on Highway #404 gets you into Toronto in about 30 minutes. ... more   less

“Check to make sure what party life is going on in the clubhouse if you plan on staying in one of "their" rooms. If your camping, noise is what it is and nothing you can do about it. For the most part, if camping, it's quiet after 11. For the clubhouse, it all depends on what's happening, but generally there is very little going on.”
