When we came to Zuberec, we were amazed by the breath-taking nature. The first dissapointment came very soon. We had to wait for the receptionist to come like fifteen minutes (with all our luggage, tired after the long journey from Bratislava). She did not explain why she was late, nor say "I am sorry you had to wait". Everytime we asked her for anything, she reacted like we were bothering her. We had to leave early on the day of our departure to catch the bus to Liptovský Mikuláš and asked the receptionist whether it ´s possible to have our breakfast sooner or to pack it with us. She replied, that it´s only possible if there is a larger grop of people and we can´t pack the breakfast with us, because we could be like other tourists, who took food for the whole day... I reccomend this location because of its beautiful nature, but I do not reccomend this property. If you expect a friendly behaviour and responsiveness, choose a different one.…
Pleasant stay of 3 nights with kinds. Nice mountine style pension, spacious nice and clean family room equipped with carpet, was good for full family stay in 3rd floor so nobody above us :-). Staff was very kind, breakfast was super rich with real espresso machine ;-) and dinners tasty as choice of 3 meals day before. Beside this wellness (didn’t go), bowling, play room for small and big kids. 10min by car from Rohace- Spalena sky resort. Great value for money.
The pension is large with additional buildings and facilities (outside as well as inside). Rooms are comfortable enough with all necessary furniture, there is a common balcony with chairs. The meals in the restaurants were good quality, nice variety for breakfast. The personal was a bit cold. I would recommend this place to my friend.
We just stopped by passing to have some food. On demand if we can do so, some indirect not welcoming reply came that we can. First sign of empty resraurant did not force us to think ddeper. But service afterwards was far worse. No kindness, willingness to recommend local specials or stnadrd food, treating us like aliens not customers even decreased impression of average food being junk. Be carefull seeing waiter ( the one with beard), rather do not step in.
Great place to stay with a family. The place has a great playground, trampoline, some farm animals, playroom, game room, bowling, and more. The hotel itself is nice. Rooms are smallish but comfortable. Besides with the beautiful Rohace setting you will not be spending much time indoors. There is a miriad of hikes and walks including some on paved roads suitable for strollers. Great place to bike too. Hotel food is traditional simple Slovak food, but cooked very well. Staff is friendly. Overall we had a great time.
We visited in May as couple with 7 months old baby for two nights. Penzion is built in slovak traditional style as frame-house. Has two part - main older building and one newer. For familly with children is better choice apartman than room. Is larger with balcony and beautiful views and not much more expensive. All places in penzion are clean. Meals are in the Slovakian style and tasty. Negatives: - no barrier free entrance - your buggy with baby must carry by hand on stairs - service in restaurant is nice but slow and you waiting for meals or drinks
We stayed here at Penzion Pribisko as a young couple along with another family for a week, as a part of an adventure holiday package deal by 'Intrepid Travel' - 'The Family Adventure Company'. We had a fantastic trip and we were pleased with the standard of our accommodation. As we arrived, we were given our keys and explained all the ins and outs of the hotel such as meal times and all of it's facilities including access to the sauna and table tennis in English by the lovely Veronica; who was really helpful along with our fantastic tour guide - both able to translate for us. Our room was a good size with a large double bed, double wardrobe space, a wall mounted TV, comfy seating, a dressing table, a good sized bathroom and a fully opening double window with a lovely view of our surroundings. For us it was perfectly adequate for what we needed but if I was to ask for improvement, maybe a small deco update would really make all the difference however In honesty that is just me being fussy!!! (eg. Bedding, seat cushions, flooring, curtains etc.) The mattress was fairly hard which for me, did take some getting used to but it was fine. The bedding was comfortable and the extra large, fluffy pillow was great as I usually prefer to sleep using two pillows so this was a plus for me! My only very minor complaint for the room was the curtains.... Not only was the fabric extremely thin not blocking out much light at all, but they had not been made to measure the window properly as they do not cover the whole window. In fact, even both drawn together covers just over half the window which is a shame as it doesn't look very presentable and the light comes into the room very early which did wake me up a few times. It's also not very private as people are able to see right in!! Breakfasts were included in our room price and the buffet service had a good variety to choose from each morning always being quickly stocked and replaced. From bread rolls and jam to traditional Slovak sausages and cold ham or cereal with fruit and yoghurt. If requested, a packed lunch can be provided for you which was useful for us as we had a busy schedule. Dinners were faultless. A three course meal from the basic menu was just €7pp!!! Amazingly cheap price for what I thought was a high quality dish served with amazing staff who couldn't be more helpful. Every day you were given a choice of three dishes you could pre order for the following day. It was an impressive system that worked so well for us. I suffer from a dairy intolerance and every meal - without fail, was especially prepared to cater for my needs. To me this was top grade customer service and I have not had this anywhere else!!!! Overall this hotel was really good and I would not hesitate to stay here again. The homely and friendly atmosphere made it very easy to feel comfortable. If you are into skiing or just beginners like us, there are a handful of good local resorts within minutes drive. I would recommend you to stay here you will have a great time with no difficulties! …
We visited in the summertime. Penzion has modern yet traditional style with spacious and clean rooms. Staff were great and made our stay really special. It was never too much trouble to answer our questions, give us advice for our next trip or keep the bar open just a little bit longer. :) There is so much to do in the area: beautiful mountains, castles, aqua park, caves, lakes, waterfalls... And if you want to stay in the penzion, they have a lot of activities to offer too (squash, tennis, bowling...) We will definitely be coming back. The wintertime in Zuberec must be awesome.
If you are hungry or thirsty, this place is not your good choice. Waiting for drinks, meals, payment, this all things made our visit very bad. Service in this pension definitely need to improve cooperation and comunication with customers.
On the first sight place seemed beautiful. BUT!!! - Service was terrible - We waited ages to get something to drink. - Soup was cold - The beer was terrible. - Friend of mine didn't even get his food. Pure disaster of staff. Some changes are highly reccomended.
