I stayed in the Hotel Bystrica for one night as I had business meetings in the region. The reception personnel was very friendly. The room basic, but very clean with free wifi. The restaurant offers a great variety of meals. Very tasty, big portions and great value for money. Very good Slovak wines. No need to search for something better in town after a long business day. The breakfast menue offers as well a great variety from light to heavy. Hotel Bystrica is my goto place when I come back to Považská Bystrica.

Small hotel with nice rooms and good breakfast. They have a Pizzeria which serve good pizza. Rooms some time very small but with good bed and bathrooms. Good price. Try to Ask for a room on the other side of the main road because is quiter

This place was great. Great prices (far less than the larger hotel across the river), a solid kitchen that makes a great pork knuckle and ribs, and helpful front desk staff (even for those of us who are ridiculous enough to visit Slovakia without understanding more than hello, good day or please. More than that, the countryside in Povaska Bystrica is beautiful. Make sure to check out the castle!

We found Hotel Bystrica while getting lost trying to find another hotel in town. We asked if they had any rooms available and they only had an apartment, but it was for a lower price than any other place we stayed at in Europe so we decided to stay. The apartment was beautiful! Skylights in every room, giant bathroom and tub, a kitchen area stocked with dishes, minibar, and very clean! We only stayed 2 nights but it would have been the perfect place to stay for a week. Kate, who spoke a bit of English, was at the front desk most of the time we were there and was so friendly and helpful. We ate a few times in the restaurant and everything was much to our liking, whether it be pork, eggs, or halušky. I definitely plan to stay here when I visit Slovakia again!
