Visited Kristinestad for a wedding. Stayed four nights at the hotel. It’s an apartment hotel.

If you are looking for charm and atmosphere it doesn’t get better then this.
We stayed in the newly renovated A2.

The bathroom is amazing, so beautiful.
In the kitchen you find everything you need: fridge/freezer, Mockamaster coffeemaker for great coffe (supplied by the hotel) , dishwasher and all the utensils you need.

The bedroom has comfy beds and fresh linens.
The buildings and the yard is charming and filled with historic beauty.

Can’t fault anything. If I should be picky I would like the option to have a double bed instead of two singles, but that’s just a minor petty thing.

The owners are friendly and helpful.
And to top it off: you know it’s a great place when they have a friendly purring hotel cat!

Would absolutely stay here again.

Hotel Krepelin is for those fellow travellers who want to experience something special, instead of chain hotels. A beautiful wooden hotel with small but cosy and well-equipped apartments. The hotel doesn’t serve breakfast but it was great to make your own and have it outside.
We had a good night’s sleep in the tranquil environment. Will come back!👍🏻

Charming, cosy and nice, also very quiet. Perfect environment. Persoonallinen, hyvä atmosfääri, riittävästi varusteltu, mukava isäntäväki. Good home base to visit the historic, well preserved wooden town.

Visited lovely Kristinestad while conducting archaeological excavations.

I reserved acomodation months in advance and got apartment A2 which looked absolutely amazing.

In March I routinely checked that my booking was ok and got the response that their reservation software had had a malfunction and that they had lost all reservations.

Apparently I should have checked my reservation details because when I arrived I received a totally different apartment which sadly was nothing like apartment A2.

This one (apartment 4) had a set of stairs leading to the "bedroom" upstairs with four very basic single beds. As I have a serious foot injury the steps proved very hard to climb (especially downstairs) to the toilet on the lower floor.

The overall feeling of at least this apartment was cozy but nothing special. I understand that I should have made a complaint about the wrong room upon my arrival but I was simply too tired to do that when I arrived and didn´t realize the trouble I would be having with climbing up and down the stairs during the night.

We made a short West Finland tour . Never been in Kristiinankaupunki. We allways try find small, family owned places where to overnight. Krepelin was just what we wanted. Clean, good large room with own kitchen. Really good personal service.

Once again had pleasant stay...
Very much different than common chain hotels, but in good way!
Cosy, clean room/apartment with kitchen and all you need for short stay...
Especially old school sauna in different building!
From reservation to checkout, everything worked great!
If you're in neighborhood, go check it out.

I loved the atmosphere of this cosy small hotel with a hint of history of the old town! I spent there one night with my friend in connected two rooms. Both had an own kitchen and a bathroom. Specious clean rooms with old-fashioned interior design and fresh flowers. I liked the color combination of white and blue. Everything was very clean and tidy.

A market is nearby if you want to cook yourself. Also a few restaurants and cafes are very close. Here you sleep in the very center of the only citta slow town of Finland. And you sleep well, I bet!
