My wife and I had an overnight stay here on the 1st of February, this place is out of this world from the home cooking of our lovely host Mia to our amazing and spotlessly clean glass lodge overlooking the frozen lake and snow covered hills beyond. After our meal we returned to our lodge which was surrounded by reindeer, as the evening progressed and the northern lights became easily visible from the room, I went outside to set the camera up, it was completely silent apart from the reindeer crunching the snow around me, needless to say a long time enjoying this fantastic experience. The morning started with breakfast and afterwards spending time watching all the reindeer being fed before sadly having to leave to continue our holiday. I can honestly say this is one of the best places we have ever been. Brilliant.…
Mia and her husband have thought of everything for this fantastic boutique glass lodge experience. It is in the middle of nowhere but is an ideal location to see the northern lights. The lodges are a 5 star experience with luxury toiletries, robes, coffee machine, every you could need to curl up and watch the stars and hopefully the northern lights from the comfort of your bed. The reindeer roam free and surround your cabin, which is amazing, if your lucky to be there at feeding time you can get to stroke a few of them. Meals are delicious , a 3 course home cooked meal is provided in a separate yurt with a warm cosy fire and Mia is an excellent host to tell you about the area and her experience and life. it was a shame current covid rules prevented alcohol drinks after 5pm as I could have spent hours chatting and watching the flames dance in the fire. Mia does provide all the activities but as we were only there for one night we did not get chance to try them. An experience I will never forget and we will be back.…
We were just there over the Christmas period. It was perfect: Northern Lights, snow and plenty of stars! The igloo was the ideal place to enjoy the nature of Lapland. Mia, the manager, was a great host to us. She went out of her way to help us from connecting with Finnair for our lost baggage to washing our clothes. Both breakfast and dinner which were part of the package were very good. We had such a great time and would recommend anyone who wants to visit the Lapland in winter!!!!!
The owners, Mia and her husband, have truly thought of everything. Stunning location quite literally in the middle of no where. A true luxury escape a few hours drive from the nearest airport but so worth it! Breakfast and a delicious 3 course dinner is prepared daily with beautiful presentation. There is also a supermarket around 15miles away in the town of Kilpisjärvi. Norway is also only an hour drive away, although there is so much to keep you busy at the farm - the reindeers, snow shoeing, skiing, ice fishing, stunning views from the comfort of your warm bed, sauna, northern lights that light up the igloo the list can go on and on.. also, all those activities (other than the sauna) and super warm Arctic clothing (which is a MUST) are complimentary for igloo guests! We found the value for money incredible. There are four Igloos at the farm so it really is a boutique experience, with luxury furnishings and toiletries. The service is unparalleled which really puts the icing on the cake of this special experience. We'll be back!…
Our honeymoonplans changed because covid19-situation. So we just drove in to the Arctic land adventures and asked If there was any igloos available and lovely Miia took us as guests. Even from the one night Miia can make unforgettable. We felt very welcomed. Igloos were super clean and the equipment of the room was good quality. The views were amazing! We recommend booking the sauna. Breakfast was handmade locally and tasted super good, you could say the breakfast was one of a kind experience also. Thank you Miia for saving our honeymoon.
we booked this place after two nights of camping. Very lovely, beautiful and really carefully thought out details. The igloos are so beautiful and you will feel at home there. In addition to all the wonderful experiences, there is the best hostess who cares genuinely about her guests and we felt so welcome. we will definitely be going there again.
So beautiful views and the igloo is just perfect. Sun is shining all night long at the summer, if you can't sleep there is also sleepmask for you. This is the place where you can just relax and enjoy at the best finnish views what we have. Owners are so lovely and make sure that you are enjoying at your stay. You can also book a helicopter ride if you want.
We slept one night at the glass igloos. The igloos are beautifully decorated and the shower is also very nice. The owner was really friendly and ensured us that if we would need anything her door was always open. The food was also really good, but worth mentioning is that all the guest eat at the same time, which was no problem for us since it was discussed with us which time would be suitable for us and for the other guest. Overall a really nice experience and I would go back for sure.
Beautiful location. Nice concept. The owner is very nice in person (her written communication comes across as not very friendly, but don't be fooled by that). Not a great value for money, for example the sauna is not included in the 300Euros/room and is 150Euros extra which is just too much. And breakfast was a sandwich, yogurt and instant porridge left in room the day before. Also after 5-6am in summer it's impossible to sleep not just for the sunlight but also the sun makes the room hot regardless of the AC being at the lowest.
We visit there in July and there were no curtain at all, so the sun was shining all night long. The breakfast was done to room’s fridge on previous evening, so nothing very fresh. Also there were no toilet paper, altough they brought it upon request.
