Booked this last minute ang got positively surprised. Big room, spotless clean, friendly service, children friendly, silent location, great nature just in front of the doorstep. Posio and Lapin Satu are clearly worth a visit.
Renovated old school has a new life as a neat hotel. Our room was spacious and very clean and the view to the lake was spectacular although the weather was grey. We recommend booking the sauna too! Breakfast was basic but good. Convenient basecamp for those going e.g. to Korouoma.
A well-maintained, clearly recently renovated establishment. Everything in good shape, a peaceful location by a beautiful lake. The beds were a bit too soft for us and the walls fairly thin but for a two star hotel this is understandable. Nice sauna too. Will go again.
A small hotel renovated in old school building. The room was very spacy, beautifully decorated and you could see a lake from big window. Big and stylish bathroom. Very friendly staff. Breakfast was average.
Hotel with a perfect situation, in the middle of a forest and away from the noise.I think the hotel is quite new, as it looked very modernized.Very large rooms, very comfortable, clean and very well decorated. There is also a sauna, huge. It's one of the nicest hotels I've been to. Very good service, professionals, very good service.
This is a nice hotel at the lake side. The food is good and inexpensive with russian specialities. Try too get a room with the lake view. The view on the other side is not so pretty. We visited Pentik-mäki and Korouma.
My fiancée and I recently stayed here and from start to finish it was a true pleasure. We live in New York City and have both traveled fairly extensively and can say that the level of customer service at this family-run establishment is extremely high. The father and son of the family that owns the hotel were waiting for us when we arrived at the local bus station and made sure we were very well taken care of during our stay, right down to taking extreme care to ensure that they had food options that accommodated my food allergy. They also interfaced seamlessly with local providers of activities, including helping facilitate our going on a dogsledding ride and visiting a reindeer farm, both of which were truly unique experiences. We would highly recommend this establishment to any tourists from the U.S. or elsewhere who are visiting the region. Just be sure to book your dogsledding well in advance as those types of activities can be very popular in the winter time and book up.…
We went there on our way to Kuusamo, the signage to the restaurant isn't the best, so be sure of where you are heading (no rocket science tho). Menu is quite different than usual in Lapland, with russian specialities. There aren't 100 possibilities but there is enough to satisfy your tummy. We didn't wait long to get served. Friendly staff, very good food! Good prices too. To be recommended.
We visited for one night during May so it was very quiet and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It is family run and everyone was very friendly and went out of their way to help. The rooms were quite basic, but it was very clean. comfy beds and the shower was excellent. Breakfast was delicious. The location is great - on the edge of the lake and it was very quiet and peaceful which we loved. We could have done with a kettle so that we could have hot water in our room (when we asked the owner provided a thermos flask which worked just fine) and the lack of black out blinds was a bit problematic in summer but overall we had a great stay and we would definitely recommend.
We went to lapin satu with our snomobiles, the trail to their was very nice. The location was easy t access and leave with snowmobie, i can recommed it to all with snowmobile. Food was exelent, and overall we liked the place alot.
