Our favourite of all the campsites in Finland. We went in May so a bit off season but instead of the planned 2 nights we stayed for 7 because the place is just so beautiful and theres so much to see and do not only on site but in the local area. I particularly recommend the place if you're interested in history, geology or nature in general. There are some fantastic walks in the vicinity and the scenery is absolutely stunning. The campsite offers a wide range of activities at a very reasonable price for Finland ( fat bikes, frisbee golf, sup boards, rowing boats to name just a few). We stayed in our motorhome but there are some amazing looking cabins for rent too, some with hot tubs etc. Right on the lovely sandy beach. They even have a floating sauna raft available for rent! Have to say also the staff are wonderful and extremely accommodating for example, they lent us fishing equipment because we wanted to try but didnt have anything to do it with. If you go, be sure to try out the bison burgers from the grill outside...they're amazing! All in all we had a wonderful time and wouldnt hesitate to recommend the place. I'm.so glad we love in Finland and within reasonable driving distance because ai cant imagine we'd want to go anywhere else now. Thanks for a fantastic time!

The restaurant has a short menu based on local specialities. We tried a bison burger, which is not available in many places - at least in Finland. Bison meat is more tasty than ordinary beef, and here also the spices were in good balance with the meat. (Other options are also available.) The place is very peaceful and located on a narrow peninsula. A perfect place for relaxation!

We stayed here one night camping. It's a beautiful peninsula water surrounding you and nice sandy beach if you dare to swim in the cold water. The restaurant was quite busy and one thing that bothered us: no one from the staff wore masks, I think that's irresponsible. There was hamburgers etc on the menu, can't comment because we didn't eat there. Quite a lot of caravans, but we still managed to find a nice peaceful spot for our tent. For campers, they do offer showers and toilets, they were ok and there was also quite nicely equipped kitchen and place to make a fire for barbecue.
