Fantastic stay in idyllic farm next to a lake. We stayed in en-suite room with my wife. Ground floor had well equipped common kitchen. There was private beach at the lake with a row boat available for cruising on the lake. Breakfast was also excellent.
We had chosen the hotel because it looked so nice in photos. And it was very true that both the surroundings and rooms were beautiful. The outside of the building that we stayed in was in fact in an acute need of painting, but it looked like there were preparations to do just that... Their page in Booking claimed that there is air conditioning in the room, which was not accurate, because there was one in the hall of the building (it was turned off though). It did not bother us as it was not too hot to sleep - even though the day had been hot. Speaking of a hot day we would have liked to have a swim in the neighbouring lake when arrived (as ”advertised” in Booking), but it turned out that the only place from which one could go for a swim was their sauna and that was occupied... The breakfast was outstanding!…
We arrived after biking 40 kilometers in pouring rain. We received a very warm welcome and the lady who showed around the facilities also took care of our wet biking clothes. We stayed in the newly renovated house which has 6 spacious guest rooms (3 downstairs & 3 upstairs) each with own bathroom. All renovated with excellent taste. There was also a brand new kitchen downstairs with top of the game appliances. We were the only guests in the house so we took a trip to nearby grocery store and made our own lunch and dinner in the kitchen. There is a sauna building next to the guesthouse which was in good condition. There is also a “smoke sauna” by the lake. The next morning we continued our biking trip but before that we enjoyed a great breakfast in the main building. We were the only guests there so they basically made the breakfast for us. The quality of the food was great and we had nice fire place next to our table so the atmosphere was very nice and peaceful. We highly recommend this place. …
Einfach nachfragen.
We bookt a "Mökki" (Finnish holiday home) that belongs to the farmhouse of the Kumpunen family. Everithing was as we expected, just great. The Mökki is located at a lake and has its own rowing boat. The view to the lake is beautiful. The Mökki itsself is ideal for 4 persons, although up to 10 persons may sleep there. It has everything we needed, including dishwasher, washing machine and dryer for clothes. And of course there is a sauna, one in a seperate building fired with wood, and one electrified in the house. We appreciated the Mökki is not too far from everything. It is 1,5 km to Petäjävesi with shops, restaurants and a famous old church. Hanni and Juha from the Kumpunen farm are very friendly and helpful. They do organic farming and also sell some products they make themselves. We bought strawberries and porridge oats.…
