Hotel Nestor is named after the last farmer here on the property, and my great grandfather, Nestor Johansén. The property belongs to the farm Arvids-Västergård, which dates back to the early 1700s. Hotel Nestor is today run as a family business and was founded in 2009 artist Pia Rousku and Industry Designer Frank Hellgren. Now the hotel is owned and run by their son William Hellgren, who became a part of the hotel business in 2016 when he opened the restaurant Back Pocket in the building’s renovated barn. Every room here at Nestor has a special character: different in size and style we give you the possibility to choose the room that best adapts to your needs.

Dinner at Backpocket was one of the best we ever experienced on any continent. This place is hidden in the Finnish archipelago, accessible by boat or by car (two ferries). A six course surprise menu paired with wonderful wines, starting with exceptional blanc de blanc champagne. Options for kids as well. This place really deserves a Michelin star, although perhsps a bit difficult to find, many foreign tourists, though.

The location of the hotel is the best. It was wonderful to wake up in the middle of the countryside on a summer morning. Rooms are brightly decorated and have a very good overall look. The building is well kept and sympathetic. Breakfast is served directly at the table and consists of fresh ingredients. Customer service is staffed by young adults and the service is very friendly and relaxed. The hotel’s private beach is definitely the highlight of the place. On the pier next to the cliffs you can relax in complete silence surrounded by nature. Only but significant flaws in the hotel are the room equipment. Mini fridge in our room was broken and we did get it intact as long as we carried it downstairs to our room. Ventilation was non-existent which made our room awkwardly hot at the end of the day and in addition the bed was the loudest where we had ever slept. Metal frame kept making loud noise with even the slightest movement so we hardly got to sleep in bed. This should definitely be fixed by the hotel. Our overall rating of the hotel is still fairly positive.

Five star restaurant Awesome place! A lovely little, cosy hotel with an excellent restaurant. You can not get better food in a big city Michelin star restaurant. The food is simply amazingly high class and tasteful. The chef expresses himself through this food like art. We ate the tasting menu and I can recommend it with all my heart. Enjoyable atmosphere, professional service. We stayed in the familyroom and it was clean and functional. A bit hot at least in winter but beds were comfortable. Large internet-tv. Excellent breakfast. I have never eaten so good porriadge with blueberries. My tip is to test this restaurant during winter, off-season. It is just as good quality and it is easier to get table. In the summer you are lucky to get a reservation.

Hotel Nestor is beautiful, built in a converted barn and farmhouse, in a gorgeous location. The staff are especially welcoming and helpful, especially Hannah and Mauritz. The owner, William Hellgren, is an outstanding chef. His dinners are just superb and delicious. This is a hotel and experience not to miss. You can swim at Nestor Beach, and his parents have created an Art Walk which is amazing.

This is a charming hotel in a renovated barn that has been in the family for gernerations. The added bonus is that the owner also is a fantastic chef so enjoy your dinner at your hotel. No need to go into the nearby town. There is a wonderful nature/art trail called the "barefoot path" with fascinating art along the path in nature. Remember that the footprints along the trail symbolizes the path that you should follow and the back arrows pont you to the art along the way then get back on the trail. We didn´t find all the art the first time. We did go swimming at the Nestor beach as well. It is not a sandy beach but a dock with a ladder which is not too child-friendly for small kids.

We were looking for a one night getaway from the city somewhere quiet, and Hotel Nestor was just perfect! The rooms are clean and cozy, and the restaurant is an absolute gem! I'd also recommend walking to the seaside for a picnic or just to relax for a bit, it's really beautiful. The staff is super friendly! Deffinitely worth a visit.

Stopped here with family to rest and sleep on our Island hopping trip. The hotel was the best stop we had for the whole week. Great food, perfect service, and really nice & very clean and peaceful rooms. We want to go to a new Island hopping trip just to be able to stay a night again in here.

Really the best food and service in the whole archipelago. 3 or 5 course menu in the evening (choose 5 if you are hungry), lunch is also good. Book a table for the evening. Accessible by road or by boat, a must to visit if you are in the area. The nice walk from the harbour, north of the restaurant is less than 1 km. Local food prepared and presented in a 10+ way. We will definitely visit this restaurant many times this summer, again...
