We had to stop over somewhere unexpectedly and was provided with toothbrushes as we didn't have anything with us. Free parking. Very friendly and welcoming service. Comfortable and clean room with a very nice hot cooked breakfast delivered. Exellect value for money.

I have been stopping at the Holiday Inn since January 2020 on and off as I work at the University near to the hotel. The staff all know me now on a first name basis and are simply lovely to me. They always greet me with kindness and make sure I am really looked after, which has meant so much to me as I have anxiety and am prone to panic attacks. So, massive thanks to all the staff for looking after me and making me so welcome on a weekly basis.

I have been staying here a few times each month for the past 11 years as it's close to a site at work. Positives: The hotel and rooms are always clean, beds (and bedding) are good and you get a desk and TV. Staff are all really friendly, there's been the odd moody person working there in all the years I've been staying but on the whole, everyone can't do enough to help. Food in the restaurant has always been good, even if you get it ordered to your room. Not a lot of choice for draft beers (Becks or Becks) but they have plenty of bottles. There used to be a Chinese restaurant in the hotel, I'm not sure it's there anymore but that was also really nice. Gym and pool on site which is handy, it's small but perfect for my needs. Negatives: A lot of the rooms are showing signs of age, especially the bathrooms. Carpets are looking a bit untidy and if you have a fridge in your room they are so noisy. Having said that, everything is clean which is the most important thing for me and where the fridge is too loud, I just unplug it. Although the food is nice, it's really expensive. Miller and Carter prices and yes it's good food but it's certainly not Miller and Carter quality. None of the above puts me off returning, the staff and the cleanliness are most important to me and they tick every box there. There is only one thing that I really wish they would improve there and that is breakfast. It's awful.. not the worst I've had by a long shot but compare it locally to the Holiday Inn Bristol City Centre, and it's night and day. There you get fresh bacon, fresh bread toast, quality sausages... everything just tastes excellent. Here at Bristol-Filton it's all such low quality, I literally eat it as it's either that or go hungry. Even the fruit salad looks like it's crying for help. For those old enough think of those lovely school dinners they used to serve up where everything tastes the same.. this is on par with that. Don't want to end on a negative note because I would (and do) always recommend this place. Covid has not phased them here either, even higher cleaning standards and will still do what they can to make the stay feel as normal as possible.
