Detailed Reviews
We stayed for one night and had our business development workshop at the conference center. I would definitely recommend the hotel for such workshops. Conference rooms were nothing special but the food for lunch, coffee break and dinner was delicious and well made.
Rooms were designed with a basic Scandinavian style. The room was clean and tidy.
There are good opportunities for sport and other activities. Entrance to the spa-like swimming hall with water slide was included in the price. I would definitely come back with my family or book the place again for conference use.

In hotel brochure was mentioned that they want to give home-like warmth and caretake. That promise was redeemed, including all staff.
Especially i want to mention that my son, who is very allergic, was given very special attention and we even learned one new food for him. Excellent!
In addition to that, hotel itself is overall classy. Especially i want to mention lamp design: they are sophisticated, but still give light enough.
Only source of discomfort was too high pillow, but that was due to my laziness to contact reception late in the evening.

First of all I have to say, Hotel Sveitsi has really charming and enchating meeting rooms with lot of different options, highly recommended.
Hotel rooms are just renovated and nice, though not very spacious, also I missed the make up mirror. And for couples I would like to have a king size bed, we had twin beds. We had a superior room and the view was odd (roof).
Hotel has lot of different leisure options - cinema, super park, fit park, beauty salon, skiing, ice hall, hiking, golf, horse riding, cycling, etc. etc. Swimming pool was closed but will be opened again on October after renovation. All this is very good for groups as well as individuals.
Restaurant Karhunpesä looked very nice with open fire, modern furnitures and friendly staff, etc. However, I was a disappointed with the food. Appetizer was quite ok, but the main courses (steaks) were not. When you order a steak, you can expect to have the best part of the fillet. That was not the case, we had a tail part which looked strange. Also the seasonal vegetables were root vegetables which is quite different. Garlic potatoes and small potatoes were fries in both portions. And both portions were tasteless (no salt enough, no pepper, no nothing). We didn't like them.
Overall expression was anyway good and I could go there again.

Room we had was worn out, straight from the 80s and not with the forest view we asked for. Outdoor swimmingpool usage was included in price but not usable because of the weather. Also, there was no sauna at the hotel for the customers to use. Or if there was, we coudn't find any info about it.
Only actual restaurant at the hotel was fully booked and didn't answer to several phone calls about the possibility to fit us in. Other restaurants in the city were closed because of the midsummer so no options (besides fastfood) to eat out. We ended up ordering pizza to the hotel. 300 eur for two nights with nothing to do or eat was not a good holiday, would have been more fun to stay at home.
-some rooms (like ours) are worn out and stained
-no options to swim or use the sauna at the hotel
-only the fastest can get a table from the restaurant, others can try to find food elsewhere
+breakfast was ok. Nothing special but edible.

The location is good and the personnel all in all is friendly and helpful, but customer service when booking (e-mail or phone) is a little awkward.
RIP-OFF: room rates are unreasonably high, at least for the standard rooms. The standard rooms often have view into a dark and smelly indoor playground and have a huge ugly beanbag in it that takes half the room and can't be used for anything. Interior in those rooms needs an update (only the modern rooms shown on website). When booking at time of a happening nearby, the rates go up to more than double (for a standard that does not even justify the normal prices).

Dear Tour440507, thank you for you feedback! Sorry to hear that everything here didn't fill your expectations. According to your description, you actually stayed in an Economy Play room, which is facing the activity park SuperPark. The Standard rooms are renovated so maybe you'll try one of those next time! Best regards, Hotel Sveitsi reception

First time here and one night stay with the family in the Junior Suite which was pretty nice. Hotel and the room looked like it's been refurbished within the past years. Clean and nice everywhere. It was somewhat warm in the room but the AC is on only during summer so...
The spa was also nice, nothing too fancy but fully OK.
Breakfast buffet was served in the spacious restaurant on the lobby, really nice and relaxing space - especially if you get the window table with the great view to the woods. Breakfast also pretty much aligned with Scandinavian style with no exceptions.
I booked the dinner package (3 course dinner from the menu) with the room, remember to make the table reservation immediately when booking the room), the food was great!
We all enjoyed so I can highly recommend.

After our flight was cancelled we booked 3 rooms at this hotel (there were 3 families, in total 10 people).
When we arrived at the hotel they didn't say there had been a mistake and only had two rooms.
Since it was snowing a lot, there were no more hotels, it was late and we went with children and we had no transport, we decided to stay there.
They put us a normal room for 1 family and then in the other room they put more beds and it was somewhat bigger than usual. But we had to share this room two families and our children had to sleep in the same bed.
And by claiming a refund for a room (the one we weren't given and they also sent us mail canceling overnight) we are NOT refunded.
Come on, you pay for 3 rooms, you get 2 and you keep your money.

Disappointing room that was extremely hot (no possibility to adjust) and very expensive (160 e). I would really avoid the Economy Play rooms as they are connected to the inside playground (not only having a view to an inner courtyard as advertised but actually having the playground on the other side of the window). There is thus no possibility to keep the curtains open and no window to open. Unfortunately there was also no decaf coffee to be had even from the reception at least in the evening. The breakfast was tasty enough but very limited in selection. The restaurant was cozy and ok enough but obviously it would be sensible to book ahead of time since we were able to only get the last table despite it being a regular Wednesday evening and not even the most popular dining time.

We were 5 people plus one dog at the hotel Sveitsi in Hyvinkää, Finland in February 2023. We stayed for two nights during the Finnish winter holiday. The service was perfect that means that every member of the staff were helpful, friendly and gave individual service. There was a lot to do, especially for children; children's program, games, swimming, adventure park etc. Sveitsi skiing resort is nearby. Food was also tasty and reasonably prised. Our holiday experience was perfect.

Frankly, we ran into some issues upon check in.
We were promised a room with a forest view and they did not deliver.
We did eventually get things worked out. So, they recovered pretty well.
We had spa = swimming and sauna = included.
However, this was shared with a public pool/spa facility. The swimming pool and area was a bit worn out. Changing rooms were okay.
Breakfast: okay. Nothing special. The highlight was a waffle maker. No custom-made or alacarte orders possible.
Dinner: basically only 2 options available.
Overall, the options were thin on the hotel premises and there were no options within walking distance.
Back to the accommodations: the rooms were spacious. Well-kept. Seemingly newly renovated. Staff were a bit terse, and quite normal for Finnish standards.
All in all, the stay was decent.
The best part: forest and other outdoor activities are a stones throw away.

Dear A Kullah, sorry for my delayed answer. So sorry to hear, that your stay was not satisfactory. We are developing our services daily, and I am happy to tell that our new a la caret menu has over 40 items to choose from. During Covid-19 we did have times, that we had only limited availability with dinner options, but now we are back to "normal". As for spa, you are absolutely right that we should not use that word anywhere in our materials as it is a communal swimming center attached to our hotel. It is included for room price and after their renovation it will have several indoor and outdoor pools available. Hope to see you soon here again as our guest. Kind regards, Vesa
