I wanted to write an updated review of the Ariau Towers since no one has really written about it in a while. My husband and I stayed there as part of our honeymoon trip in Brazil. If you make the treck to Brazil, you need to make sure the Amazon is part of your stay. We picked the Ariau as...

My family stayed at the Ariau Amazon Towers Hotel for three nights and we had an amazing time. The hotel is very basic (after all you are in the middle of the rainforest) but we did have a clean room with air-conditioning and a warm shower. We were in one of the Tarzan units which even had its own little...

After reading the reviews here and on Frommers, I was somewhat wary about booking a stay at the Ariau Amazon towers for the second time (my first stay was in 2001), but I booked it again and absolutely was not sorry that I did. This was a fun little package anyone of any age, size, number (of travelers) and ability...

Very nice place! you must choose it if you are visiting the Amazons. The hotel concept is excellent. You are litterally living over the water in some sort of tree houses. The hotel is a bit run down and need innovation. Three nights are enough for all the activities -- kids 8+ will LOVE the experience. One advice: before you...

In the middle of our honeymoon in Brazil we spent 2 nights here at the Ariau Towers. I was quite reluctant to book a trip into the jungle since I am terrified of spiders, bad with heat, hygiene-obsessed, easily sunburnt, and just not out-doorsy or sporty at all. The boat trip to the hotel from Manaus took about 2.5 hours,...

We just got back from a trip to Brazil and Argentina and stayed at the Ariau Towers Hotel for 2 nights. We arrived around sunset on the boat that picked us up at the Tropical Manaus Hotel pier. The ride up was nice, it was amazing to see how wide the river was! My first glimpse of the hotel made...

My husband, 15-year old son, and I stayed at the Ariau Towers for 5 nights. The Towers is approximately a 2-hour boat ride from Manaus, and relatively close to the various 'tours' offered by the hotel. The room in which we stayed was rustic, simple, with very dim lighting (making reading at night almost impossible), with a weak (cold water)...

I actually enjoyed my stay at the Ariau Towers (2/19-2/23). It is definitely a dated hotel, however, in my opinion it just added to the ambience (note that I'm pretty low maintenance). No TV's or phones in the room and the air conditioning (said to be "central air" in my unit) left much to be desired. I found that if...

My husband and I went on a tour of Brazil for our 25th wedding anniversary and we spent 4 days here. We upgraded to a suite on the top floor with a 360 view of the area. It was beautiful. The people at the resort were so friendly and accomodating. We had internet access too. The pirhana fishing, alligator hunt...

My boyfriend and I stayed at ariua for 4 days 3 nights in august. We had just left belo horizonte -which I recommend highly. It is the nyc of brazil. Anyways, the night you get there, they offer to sell you optinals, which are activites to do outside your package price. We went a little overboard and bought the survival...
